So, the Philidelphia Experiment wasn't to experiment with cloaking/invisibility. It intentionally experimented with teleportation. Because authorities exactly sure how cloaking worked, they assumed cloaking and teleportation methods were similar in theory, so they hoped cloaking would work. But teleportation was the actual goal.

They created an interdimentional gateway. Sailors did indeed had their bodies fused with the bulkheads of the ship. The experiments never were shut down.

I love the time travel concept. I want so badly for it to be real and achievable. I wish I could go back and change things in my past. But where the concept falls apart for me is that even if time travelers have to accept big events like OKC bombing or 9/11 or even covid, why not at least come back and tell us how to fix the issues like racial conflict and school shootings? Unless those continue in the future and are still treated basically the same way as they are now. And why not go back even further to nix murderers and rapists like Bundy, Green River, Catholic priests, etc etc? Then you were handed map and told to go to a specific place on the map from where you are. Theoretically, you could go there instantly, without any mechanism or device that sends you there.
