I went here recently and it is a nice island. It's clean, good weather and beautiful scenery and beaches as well as an interesting history. The only downside for me was the food, it's very samey especially if you don't like seafood like me, most restaurants have the same menu and don't serve many or any spicy or homely food. A lot of it aside from fish is just fancy burgers and steak or pies. It got very repetitive just eating chips as there's not a lot of choice.

I'm not British but I've been living in the UK for more than 10 years, I've always wanted to visit Jersey and if you're flexible with the dates there are some cheap flights, however the hotels seem to be pricey all the time regardless of the season, they are slightly cheaper in crap months like November or February but who wants to go to Jersey in those months?? For this reason I've always preferred holidaying in the Mediterranean, where there's a higher chance of nice weather, the food is way better and cheaper than in the UK and the hotels are also better value for money.

TAX FREE ?????????????? .£17 to travel 5 miles in a taxi is hardly cheap/ tax free.£4.50/£5 for a pint of bitter is hardly cheap /tax free ,£10 for 20 Malboro cigs is hardly cheap /tax free.Meal for 2 People in a mid-range Restaurant, Three-course £79 is hardly cheap /tax free. Sea fishing on a boat for 7.5 hours £68 per person is hardly cheap/ tax free . Bus pass for a week is a fair price though .

My wife and I just returned on Tuesday after years of covid regulations and my goodness it was great to be back. Love the place but I feel its getting slightly expensive especially if your dining out a lot my advice if you want to visit is try and get a self catering apartment and avoid the expensive hotels .

bulshit it is 100% British ,and you have to pay a lot for British bureaucracy .It has nothing to do with French local people only celebrate british commanders like Pierson . The French comander has gone into abyss.Local people have lack of identify ,even didn't try to abstain like in Alsace ..
