Can you record in 16:9? I'm trying to start doing short videos for Instagram and TikTok and would like to use my built-in camera on my mac for that, but I cannot figure out how to change the aspect ratio. Thank you for your help.

I'm a Mac user, been relying on Ecamm's Call Recorder app for years to record my Skype music lessons, the movie shows both parties in full screen side by side. Ecamm won't make the app compatible with M1 Macs, so I'm searching frantically for a new way to achieve that end result. Anyone have ideas?

QuickTime is easy to use and straightforward, OBS is better but has a learing curve

I have recently started to transfer my VHS to digital using QuickTime. Can you please tell me if there is a way to select the destination ie a portable drive at the beginning. Some tapes I get to a point and it stops as there is no room to complete the transfer as no memory

A mac pro was givin to me from a friend who got a new one it is 13 years old and is a 10.13.6 so I can NOT get garage band or pretty much any Big sur (scary) video and recording apps from the app store BUMMER But I have photo booth and quick time I will buy a good Mike and keep it simple for now and use the computer eye web cam , I am Very new at this Can you make your videos from Quick time Black and White?I know you can from the Photo booth THANK YOU FOR YOU HELP and Time I noticed you dig Super heros I learned how to draw them pencil and Black ink Batman Rules 😃

Perhaps you should know that this is utterly useless for a beginner, since as early as 1.59 you start using vocabulary with no explanations- e.g. 'right now I'm using my canon g7 mark 3' - what does this mean, that you're 'using' that? - do you see, you've already failed to realise how much you are using terms one needs to go elsewhere (but where!?) to understand what you're talking about!

You don't get the red dot in monterey. They have changed it for the sake of change the idiots. Not nearly as user friendly as you are explaining. Wish they wouldn't change what isn't broken.
