Can You Beat DARK SOULS 1 With the Previous Boss' Weapon?

I only player through DS1 once and it was 6 years ago but seeing the moonlight Butterfly's spear and shield makes me want to play it again. They look amazing.

could you beat any of the dark souls games with only riposte damage? i would say that backstabs, stance break attacks, and parrying all count because they have the special iframe giving animation, but of course you're the one doing the challenge so you decide the rules. I don't know if any of the souls games are completely impossible because a boss doesnt have a single parryable attack, but im pretty sure that's not the case.

The demon catalyst is actually the best fire weapon, especially with 40 intelligence, like 350 fire damage. The scaling makes it do double damage because it‘s like S rank

One suicide run I do when I want a head start on my character levels is thru the catacombs and tomb of the giants, you get a load of consumable souls and a covetous ring. The only issue is idk if you can kill pinwheel with just firebombs
