This is good to know. I just started playing the game yesterday, so I'm still learning things. I'm currently feeding my pals cooked red berries and cooked mushrooms, so I hope that's okay for early game. I'm going to be playing some more in a bit, so I'll work towards the hot spring recipe.

Best food to give them is salad or pizza both give a lot of satiety and Sanity % putting a like 2-3 hot springs and good beds is a great way to keep San high.

Im not a big fan of feeding them and keeping up with sanity but i still love the game

My feed box has red berries, wheat, milk, and eggs. When I return from long trips, I toss in mushrooms I gather whilst out and about.

I can produce probably 5000 berries in about an hr.

Pizza is the cheapest way..and works very well for food and san

mid game: make salad, increases Sanity, Satiety and Work Speed. end game: make Pizza, it does the same as salad, but better

They get one hot spring and baked beans. Thats it and nothing more, everything else goes into making cake and ammo.

Just serve them salads the sanity gets them about 11 I think…. Supposedly it makes them feel good …. None of them have gotten depressed or sick in my base

Make them work as hard as possible.

I am shoked how few people know this but you could just stolk up on cotton candy and feed it to them which will pretty much restore their sanity fast.

Fill your feed box with jam filled buns, it sorts the sanity out quite well 👍

My pals don't need sanity if they can't work their useless and time for them to be replaced

Two high quality hot springs and omelets for high nutrition and nothing else ,save your berries for cake , ive been doing this and they are nice and happy ,the type of pal matters but its personal preference, related passives like dainty eater etc help aswell 😊

Fun fact Palls in your Party recover Sanity as well even if you have them out and Active.

Maybe the satisfaction of knowing they're specifically Desired to be in direct company of their Master makes them feel better about their lot in life.

Salad qnd pancakes

dont feed raw berries to your base pals. always bake your berries as it gives at least 1 SAN. if you unlocked cooking pot, feed them pancakes as it gives 5 SAN and decrease SAN drop rate and once you have the electric kitchen stove, make pizza as it is in my opinion the best food for base pals. it gives 23 SAN, increase work speed and decreases hunger rate. also, you can create all the ingredients in your base.

30hours into the game, with two hot spring, i never face any issue with their san at all..

Pancakes specifically mention it replenishes san all other food lacks this description

This is basically how to be a good manager 101. Simply put TAKE CARE OF YOUR WORKERS. Because ic you take good care of your workers your workers will take good care of you.

Funny thing is they make more berries than any other other food. I have 9k of berries if they can't be happy with 9k berries then they're dumb and ungrateful 😂

You can also just take them with you, it goes up faster when you adventure and fight with thrm

Feed them bread or better, dont use monitoring stand till they have 10 large pal beds, build 2 hot springs,, bedding is largest factor as sleeping increases san, also fix pathing issues in bases all of them, pals get stuck transporting or moving to a job begin losing san before reaching job, as someone running 3 max bases with max production jelly toast and omelette are my fav food combo, pals also get penalty for eating basic food and one type of food

Just cook like 1000 red berries(which are super plentiful after all) and put it in the food bowl, they'll eat and their sanity will go up at the same time. Lol

Remember all pals are replaceable

Make 2 wheat farms , 2 berry farms, always have 2 water pals and 2 planting pals, over time just keep making jam and bread, you will never have a sanity problem that’s easy to

You see, I'd like to feed my pals better foods.

I tried setting up a farm good enough to feed them consistently with Jam Filled Bread. My pals would guzzle through 50 Jam Filled Bread in like 20 minutes, so it just seemed more time efficient to give em berries.

If the production of cooked goods could be completely automated without needing human interaction to tell it 'Hey, Cook This!' then it might be more worth it.

i just let them make bake bean. it give 20 energy and 1san. so they eat a lot is not a con but plus because they won't take a break as much.
and it's just roast red berry which is easy to make.
