I used to work in Hatton on night shifts and one night as I am driving to work I saw something blocking the narrow road - a huge badger! The damn thing refused to move making me late for work! That phone box spent most of its life as a library where people exchanged books. It’s an odd village Hatton very much a league of gentlemen Royston Vasey sort of a place they are suspicious of strangers and everyone there knows one another’s business. The one night of the year when I go out is on Halloween when I take my car up to somewhere quiet so that it doesn’t get covered in Silly String!

My great grandparents buried in Antrobus churchyard which is a couple of miles up the road from me. My grandad was also an Antrobus soul caker.
