Mediterranean Cruise Ports

Thank you so much for such detailed and honest information. Although I have to confess that after listening to your talk, I dropped the idea of taking a Mediterranean cruise. It just seemed like I would be treated like cattle.

I took a mediterranean cruse on Norwegian and it was a dream come true. Rick's guide book was my guide for 80% of my trip.

any advice for someone who will, unfortunately, be in rome on may 1 of this year? the ship excursions are not tempting to me. i am particularly interested in your opinion of taking an excursion in to the city (most of which is closed) or taking the chance on the major holiday on the train and metro system and then using your walking tour. i appreciate any advice. and thanks for this great video. i have watched this several times while planning our trip.

I have visited most of these ports and would say that Rick is offering excellent advice. Take an excursion only at the ports he recommends you to, at all the other ports you can save money and make your own way around, you can then see what you want to see at your own pace.

This is precisely the type of practical videos I need. Thanks for sharing logistics and time management tips.

This was a fabulous video on Mediterranean ports reached by cruise lines. I will be taking my first Mediterranean cruise next year and plan on watching this video several times.
