This scene’s very realistic. Both Carol Shelby and Ken Miles were legends. 60 years ago, cars were much cooler than today in my opinion.

Ken was tired after his job and everything but as soon as he saw the car he became so excited that he forgot everything.

When I was in sales we called it the weekend pet strategy. Idea being, a pet shop owner is dealing with a customer who’s on the fence about getting, say, a dog. The owner suggests just taking it home for the weekend and trying it out, knowing that when people get the thing they want, even temporarily, they want to keep it. Shelby put the puppy in Ken’s hands, for lack of a better term. Worked like a charm.

I was a bit bummed that the GT40 just kind of shows up here, the work they did in England to design and build it was imo just as important as what Shelby and Miles brought into the mix.

They can make a Ford vs Ferrari 🚗movie 2,3,4 from the 60's and even in 2016 in more modern times beating Ferrari toe to toe when it spun out of control and the Ford GT40 kept the lead. In 2016 it was almost a similar race to this movie but different. Ford made a come back after several years of not participating in Lemans.💪

I love this scene just fir how much character there is in their performances with only a few lines.

this scene gets even better after the final scene, where we see the new test driver saying the car is amazing...........................

That car wasn’t a Ford GT40, it was a Lola.

Everyone excited about the car, but that 727 in 1960's TWA livery really gets my attention.

I dunno the real Mr. Shelby, but...
If even he can call the car he built "worse than awful" when somebody has called it "awful",
