I have a lot of confidence in this channel as far as accuracy, which is strange because it's also the easiest to understand. I'll bet Richard Feynman would be a subscriber!

The statement that the universe is not perfectly symmetric is correct, but the part with the conservation of energy of light-stretching is not. The energy is conserved, because the force that stretches the space (Dark Energy) counteracts with the energy (wavelength) of the photon and vice versa.

There are more things to existence than symmetries. Here is a complete list of natural pattern types present in physical mathematics:

- continuity (uniformity/regularity)
- parallels
- recurrence
- symmetry
- commonality
- grouping
- Force (motivation): attraction (collapse/absorption) and repulsion (expansion/reimmersion)
- communication (exchange)
- generation

Patterns are fundamental to mathematics. All mathematical symbols represent an unchangeablle pattern of how a function is operated. But few represent symmetry. There are more things to existence than symmetries. Nowhere do mathematics or the laws of physics require or even indicate either symmetry or symmetry-breaking to be common or absolute. They're just patterns. Patterns alone are all that is needed for mathematics to take place and are responsible for the laws of physics.

Humans are only symmetrical on the outside. Inside, we have very little symmetry.

The laws of physics do not begin with symmetry. In fact, every odd dimension is a break in symmetry. You couldn't even have the first dimension without breaking symmetry. That symmetry even happens is due to the even dimensions alone because it literally can't happen any other way.

This is why time is not the fourth dimension. Time does not have any symmetry at all. That physics is the same from moment to moment is not temporal symmetry. It is spacetime symmetry because space (first dimension) and time (zeroth dimension) are symmetrical to each other, giving rise to the asymmetry called motion, going from one point in space to another, but also to angular change (second dimension).

Symmetry is fundamental but there is absolutely no reason why we should expect the universe to be symmetrical in all things, so why it is even a puzzle to any physicist as to why the universe isn't symmetrical is an even bigger mystery to me. Motion itself is not possible without temporospatial symmetry-breaking.

I'm in love with this channel! See, a common person can also understand the language of our universe given that you as a teacher/prof first understands it well and this video is a proof of it. Professors and teachers should take notes from such a video!

How is translation a symmetry period it is not a symmetry. A symmetry is where A single variable is the same on either side of a point. Translational sameness is not symmetry.

We will probably not see the theory of everything, but im glad we are looking for, even me, i try to imagine how this whole thing works.

The most important conclusion with regard to the universe's symmetry is that its ultimate equation equals "0". When someone finally comes up with the answer to the universal formula, it will equal zero. That's real symmetry. The only perfect symmetry is nothingness.

Good video, only a small important thing. A symmetry has its origin not in our universe but a complex structure is always creating symmetries. If we search we will find symmetries and on the other hand no symmetry can be a perfect symmetry. The base is only the symmetry. That was Emmy Noether's huge achievement. She was one of the most significant genius in all history.

The reality is that the Universe has Asymmetry in it, not symmetry. Time does NOT flow at the same rate everywhere in the universe and neither is the expansion symmetrical. All happening at different rates in different areas.

Everything is changing continuously and thus is the ultimate law. And our purpose is to find an ultimate theory by learning continually, which can define everything, But we will never be able to find it cause then our purpose will be gone till the end of consciousness in this universe.

So, your problem is this: is the reality fundamentally symmetrical or fundamentally asymmetrical?
It can't be both.
Depending on your answer your theoretical construction might not be true, and Noether conclusion ( theorem ) when applied to the universal reality might not be correct.
Theoretical models are one thing, and reality is a different thing. Do not confuse them.
For your information the true universal dynamic is asymmetrical.
"Symmetry" is just a temporary ( unstable ) local state.

If we will consider symmetry to be true and the fact that universe expanded from big band and has no preference for any particular direction from that point of beginning, there would be symmetry in mass distribution also, which will indicate that from that point there would possibly be two earth like planet of same mass at equal distance but in opposite direction from it like they mirrored each other.
