The fact that it´s called "a teacher" not "the teacher" gives me chills. It´s not this one teacher, it could be any teacher...
This series did such a great job at portraying the damage this type of relationship does. So realistic, I have never seen any show/movie like this.

The first half minute had me wondering which one was the teacher. This seems rather manipulative to me. Can't think of a real life instance of this in which it wasn't quite obvious who was who.

If she really loved him she would have waited until he was 21 and she would have divorced her husband too smh ouh this woman is sick , I can’t even finish the serie because it’s making me so uncomfortable hmmm he wasn’t even 18 yet when she started manipulating him and messing around with him and although 18 is considered adult , he was still a freaking teen hmmm Jesus !

Those two were traumatized not by their relationship but by the society...but that is a "norm" on this planet ...I really dont understand... when he was at university and she wasnt a teacher they can not be together... very sad story/ sorry for my english/

This was SO good. The trailer had such a fantastic plot twist and the series fully lived up to the trailer’s quality. Nick Robinson’s an amazing actor. The series definitely got unfairly ignored during awards season.

Good look trying to do a movie like this if this was a male teacher.. METOO express will devour you immediately and viewers will make sure they sacrafice you in a heart beat. The double standard is real and anyone that defends it is an idiot.

moral of the story, this kinda relationship will always ended up in tragedy and the teacher getting caught and charged

I like how they try to portray “young love” and confuse the viewers but more so emphasize how a lot of times relationships like this are seen as normal to society. The music would be used in many movies where they feature young love, but this show is about the power imbalance and abuse that eric endured.

She was wrong cause she knew better , the student didn't know any better he was just becoming a man.....she knew not to date a student while at her job , the boy wanted a real relationship with her but she didn't; it was basically her manipulating him....and plus she was married (adultery) which was wrong either way it goes.....I feel like she was the bad person in this show

I disagree. Their scenes together are the best uncomfortable but intense love scenes ever shown on film. I was disappointed they did not end up together. The best chemistry and show I have ever witnessed. Oh and the music.

From bright start to sad ending. She lost her job perspectives, he got his heart broken and coudnt bring himself to start new relationship anymore. Its not romantic, its sad outcome for both of them.

We need season 2.😐
