I got the feeling he'll win it , he was the last minute entry on a expensive race plus a puertorrican jockey was assigned that specialized on running close to the rail....this safe time and space , usually at the end all horses get wide open on final stretch and leaving the inside rail open..and adding that this horse is a late runner...it was a perfect fit

My God, the way Sonny Leon guided that horse through a traffic jam to the rail then steered him to the right around the last horse, then Rich Strike accelerated and took the favorites down at the wire. I’m not even a horse racing fan. I’m a southern boy who loves college football, but sports doesn’t get any better than this. I can’t stop watching it.

Rich Strike had a lot in the tank after making the last turn. I am not a horse trainer but seems to me that it was the perfect timing of the jockey that made everything come together. The horse was very fast too!

I have probably watched this a hundred times. No matter the mood, this always lifts me. What a story, what a horse!

wtf happened. I have had to rewatch this a few times just to be able to track the rider since he is off screen and shuffled up in the back. I guess all the horses got gassed
