The "card slayer" as I'm calling it, is my favorite so far. I love it! But I can't afford it. Sad.

I noticed that the academic took most of its design inspiration from the cards lair. I never got a cards lair because it didn’t fit what I needed (either wanted large storage with a giant compartment or small storage with features), but the academic works better as an all-in-one for taking to the LGS.

does this fit dividers?

Great review! Appreciate the work that goes into your videos, especially review videos, due to the fact that I’ve definitely avoided wasting money on products that you’ve shown won’t hold up as well. Also, love the jacket! Every video I watch makes me want to rebuild my wardrobe with some more style lol

While patiently waiting for the Academic delivery, I trimmed the divider out of one of my Lair 400. It now holds 4 80+Boulders. It isn’t as elegant as the Academic’s plexiglass divider, but it makes me happy. At least until I can pick up the 266 Academic.

Does anyone know how many double sleeved cards using kmc perfect hards + Dragon shield sleeves the main-compartment can hold?

I think to absolute perfect case for me, would be this with an added area for a playmat. And if I wanted to get greedy, the area with the notebook slot...I'd rather there be four slots across that area, sectioned off for top loaders. :x

I recently picked this one up and I have to say, it is definitely my go to, I love the aesthetic of just opening the lid and seeing my cards there (just a personal preference)

Looks like a longer version of the Kickstarter he is currently running with identical features that you can buy right now but for 5 dollars more. Very cool.

Based on the thumbnail, this is pretty much a 400 card Academic. Defiantly nice if you wanted an academic like box now, but it holds too big of quantity for my taste.
Edit: It also seems to have less quality of life features and lacks the ability to put in smaller deck boxes based upon the fact it doesn't use a removable divider.

I need the combination of these two products. I want your Academic-style deck box that holds 2 or even 4 boulders with the same drawers for tokens. That would be the dream.

Just got the Gamgenic Card Lair, and I'm giving it a B-. While its a solid, well-made item, the gimmicks of the lid, trays and side pocket are just that...GIMMICKS. The "open footprint" is universally a non-issue, since you don't need it open for a significant amount of time, and thos side pockets are complete waste of design space serving no real purpose. Seriously Prof., no gamer has a the will or a phone that thin to put it in there, and it's mis-sized for quite a few over sized cards. The trays do make it unique, but that's still a lot of wasted space, anything you would use it to store (dice, token, loyalty markers) would be just as organized in the standard deck box most people use...which this will not hold because of the wasted space on the sidepockets.

I know you said the Gamegenic 400+ doesn't fit deck boxes, but I was pleased to find that the cardboard boxes that the precons now come with do fit, which does make it easy to identify decks, and the rigidity of the cardboard isn't that big of a deal, since they're safe inside the card case!

Do we have a review of the Lair 600+? I work at a store so I see it everyday and it looks like it would be good for TCGs as well as RPGs.

Would love to see a version without the side compartments, and instead use the extra width to support deck boxes.

Had my LGS order one after watching this video, and it is perfect for the 2-4 player cube my wife and I draft. Fits the 180 cards plus 100 basics plus all of our tokens sleeved, the dice, and blank infinitokens we use.

Am I crazy or are the small flaps for the tokens genuinely cute?
