We have found this information to be the most up to date and accurate. Yes there is videos and info from the user manual that is different. However we have verified with Juki that oiling your machines every 4-6 hours is WAY to much. Please watch this video all the way through to get all the info.
Thank you,
David
Your video was very helpful, thx. I’m wondering about greasing the gear that’s visible on the bottom right side underneath the machine. I’ve never had my machine serviced so not sure if that’s something a technician would do. The grease is not evident where the gears meet. I appreciate your advice.
ОтветитьI've been having issues while sewing along my Juki seems to lag. Would you happen to know if this is too much oiling not enough oiling of my machine or what else could be the issue
ОтветитьI just got my Juki 18QVP today. I'm glad to know that I will be oiling my machine properly. Your videos are very informative.
ОтветитьThank you so much! I was scared about oiling (my other machine is computerized) because other directions are so vague and I just knew I'd do it wrong oiling blindly into the void! This makes me confident I won't mess things up on my new TL-18! :-)
ОтветитьGreat information. Thank you
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this video. I will back off on the oiling and see how I go. I'm sure this is my problem......😅
ОтветитьYou showed 3 wicks on the top left but there are only 2 oil areas on the top left . How does the oil get to that 3rd wick ? Great video 😊
ОтветитьThanks so much for this. Per the manual and what I was told I am over oiling.
ОтветитьDo the gear need grease?
ОтветитьWow! Such useful information. Wish I knew your channel sooner. I bought my Juki TL 2000 last year and had doubts about many things, including oil. This is so helpful. Fortunately, I had oiled the 6 holes, but I never knew about the bobbin area. Thank you for all of your amazing videos. I too, feel like a Juki Junkie. I'm absolutely in love with my Juki. With the help of your videos, I feel it will last for years to come. ❤
ОтветитьThank you for sharing such educational resources!
ОтветитьNot at all as oil thirsty as my old Consew 225! Looking forward to my new TL18 getting here now... looks like really easy maintenance on these.
ОтветитьThank you for showing how to oil the Bobbin hook. I was doing it wrong.
ОтветитьI absolutely love my Juki
ОтветитьAwesome video! I’ve had my machine for a year and am still learning. Out of the blue, I am having a constant “on” of the thread cutter. I can sew using needle up/down. Is there home problem solving for the foot pedal? Having recently moved, it’s time to find a service provider in my new state!
ОтветитьDoes this apply to all Juki machines? I have a TL 2010Q (purchased from your store ☺️)
ОтветитьSo many reviewers are telling us how "thirsty" this machine is and to oil it every day.
Happy to see this before I follow their advice!
Very good tutorial about oiling. I sure have missed the bobbin oiling part when I oil my machine. So glad I saw this. Planning on ordering the swabs. Thanks!!
ОтветитьLove the tips and tricks you provide. I have never oiled my bobbin case but will now.
Thanks
Sandy Paxton
I’m experiencing the black residue on my presser foot and the lifter. My machine is new and I was over oiling it for a few weeks before I saw this video. Since then I have stopped oiling the upper ports and will only be oiling every 3 months. However, I’m still getting the black residue and it occasionally gets on my project. Will this eventually stop or is there a way to clean that area?
ОтветитьWhy do you not use Juki brand oil?
ОтветитьReally great information. I was over oiling my machine, every couple of weeks. I was given wrong information before. Thank you
ОтветитьThank you so much for that! I have always thought that the instruction in the manual (oil every day) was way too much. I do not hold to that instruction, and I always wonder what the oiling schedule should be. Now I know. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks for the great video, so important to maintain machine properly and you nailed it!
ОтветитьI picked up an industrial Juki 555 it’s oil cooled and a beast .
ОтветитьOh, yeah, Boki or Gigi mentioned lightly oiling the auto threading shaft because it stuck at the bottom when I pushed it down to do the final threading step. That seems to work. I bought an extra necessary part to have on hand.
ОтветитьMy machine came with oil dripped into the bottom pan, and I find that I'm overoiling the right side of the pan by the amount of drippage. I have taken apart and fulling cleaning my Juki about every five months. I KNOW that after doing FMQ on my first quilt with 50 wt So FIne, that I would need to deep clean, and sure enough, there was a lot of lint and even long thread pieces in the bobbin area. Going to try Glide. Used a combo of make up brushes, plastic, and tiny swab cleaners from The Featherweight Store. I still had to gently remove a small bit of lint from under the bobbin case, I think it was, and it was so tight that I would get under it. I used a long-handled plastic-type screw driver to push it gently to the side where I could grab it with a swab cleaners. I'm finding the So Fine 50 wt has too much lint; the 100 wt Microquilter breaks too often. However, this was the first time I had done FMQ, and it's a matter of experimentation to see what brand and weight of thread works best. Thanks for a good video. I'll get the oil applicator you mentioned, because I can't see well enough how much oil is making the drop into the oil ports with a Zoom Spout Oiler.
ОтветитьGreat advice
ОтветитьSo I am new to all of this and am fighting my Juki TL-2000Qi sewing Cordura.
My issue: I am having multiple threads coming up from my bobbin, as I sew my piece doesn't become tight to the machine but once I have completed my stitch, 3 or 4 strands of thread are coming up from the bottom thread and the fabric is then tight to the machine. I have to pull with a fair amount of force and cut the threads from the bottom. Please help.
I have played with tensions top and bottom, thread distance, foot pressure, bobin tension and I am left just sewing this way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Thanks for showing where to oil the bobbin.
ОтветитьI just bought my Juki - very good video! Thank you.
ОтветитьCan you show in large scale, the bobbin area to be oiled?
ОтветитьI am so happy that I saw this video….unfortunately when I purchased my machine they had me oiling more often. I started doing less because I saw oil in the bottom, under the bobbin area 😮. It is great to have a timeline now and be able to do visual checks. Also to know what each port does. Thank You!
ОтветитьSo glad I watched this. I’m guilty of adding too much oil.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this information. The visual was great. I am loving my new machine. God Bless you all.
ОтветитьVery helpful video. I always wondered what the inside of my machine looks like and where the oil goes. Thank you!
ОтветитьI just watch a video by Juki Junkies that was a year ago and she recommended oiling every 4 to 6 hours. And you are saying every 3 to 4 months. Can you clear this up for us. Thank you. A great video😊
ОтветитьMy momma passed away this past November. I inherited her TL 2010q. She had the machine for less than a year but used It pretty often. I was just able to get It this past weekend so it’s been sitting unused since around Thanksgiving. I had to ship It to myself so It sat on a truck for a few days as well. I have zero experience with Jukis since I’ve only ever used Brothers. Should I give a few extra drops to get started? Is there a way the machine “feels” while sewing when It needs to be oiled that I should watch for? I just found your channel so down the rabbit hole I go
ОтветитьGreat video. I have definitely been oiling too much
ОтветитьAmazing how no information can be obtain on the Juki HZL - e61 on how to oil it. Thank you.
ОтветитьUnboxed my 2010 today and actually had black oily residue after sewing for a bit. I did not oil the machine….should I?
ОтветитьI was definitely overoiling my machine in the beginning. Now I might have gone too far the other way! Time to oil the bobbin race, for sure. Thanks for all the good info!
ОтветитьGreat information! Thanks for sharing ❤
ОтветитьVery helpful. thanks!
ОтветитьI felt my belt was slipping. I also noticed leakage around scissors button. Now I think it’s because I dropped oil every week! I will take off the bottom to check if there’s oil puddles & swab up the belt. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьThank you for that tutorial on proper oiling of my Juki Tl 2010Q sewing machine. It is extremely helpful to see the areas the oil actually goes onto and how over oiling can damage the machine.
ОтветитьOh my word!! Thank you!!
ОтветитьAppreciate the information. So valuable!
ОтветитьNEXT VIDEO DO A OILING ,,CLEANING. WHEN THE MACHINE IS 6 MONTHS OLD. THAT BLACK GEAR AT THE BOTTOM OF MACHINE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA,,ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE ,,AND GET YOURSELF A ELECTRIC SCREWDRIVER. IT REALLY HELPS,,,ALSO PUT SOME OIL ON THE SHAFT THAT THE BOBBIN CASE FITS ON,,AND INSIDE THE BOBBIN CASE. I DO IT EVERY TIME.
