Wow, despite all the tech this car is still less efficient than a 2010 third generation Toyota Prius. Granted, it is larger and faster, but we really need to start rethinking our approach to which car shapes are efficient and which are “desirable”.
ОтветитьWonder how it compares to Sportage Hybrid🤔
ОтветитьThe e-power is the best nissan qashqai and is reliable vehicle i love this car very much i would love to have one im a nissan guy
ОтветитьSo don’t park next to this car in a supermarket car park, or any car park. That rear door being opened by an excited kid, will put a nice big dent in the car next to it.
ОтветитьBe of interest how much road tax is or is there any?
ОтветитьFun to drive and then recommending Volvo? Komisch, as the Germans would say.
ОтветитьHonda has that type of hybrid for years now and they do it better. Don’t waste your money imo
ОтветитьGet 2 electric mg for the price of this over £40k for a hybrid. The world is a crazy place atm.
ОтветитьSimilar power train to the new Honda civic/jazz ?
Ответить@naferemix is right. How can Nissan , with all the available technology nowadays, come up with a 40 ish mpg car, and say its " groundbreaking ". Are they trying to be funny?
ОтветитьMy favourite car reviewer. Others might be more knowledgeable, more specialized, or even more relevant for me in Canada, but I don't care. Rebecca is perfect. Charming, down to earth, informative, clear, and just lovely. You folks are lucky, but I'm sure you already know that. Wish this E-Power was available in Canada.
ОтветитьQashqai is Japanese for 'Can't Drive'
ОтветитьBasta mettere un motore magnetico e ricarichi senza benzina anche
ОтветитьJust ordered the tekna this will be five new Nissan cars over the years.
ОтветитьJust has a test drive, didn’t like it at all and can’t see the point of it.
ОтветитьUgly overrated and overpriced, 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
ОтветитьJust ordered my Nissan Qashqai 2023 should be here by June
ОтветитьI got exactly the same model you test drive here, but was disappointed how noisy the petrol engine is when it kicks in - even when in traffic or slowly cruising. My dealer and Nissan say that there is no fault, so maybe you should test again???. I can't live with the noise!

ОтветитьWhy are motoring journalists obsessed with German cars? Every German car I have ever had as been junk, whether new or second hand
Ответитьi have the normal petrol engined car and i get around 40mpg ,best 50 . So I really dont see the point of this considering its more expensive the figures just dont add up. if this was 60mpg average then yeah great .
ОтветитьSeems to be a number of technical inaccuracies in this video. Are you comparing hybrids to hybrids ? Why would a hybrid not have a transmission hump ?
ОтветитьI get the feeling she's a badge snob. The Nissan looks pretty impressive to me.... sure that nissan badge doesn't scream luxury but I bet to get the equiv of trims, specs and overall technology on her preferred badged car you'd need to add anther 25-30% to the price.
ОтветитьI've had both a BMW X3 & X5 . Both were bloody horrible to drive & wallowed really badly on country roads & weren't really good value for money! Getting an E-power tekna as a mobility car.
ОтветитьJust ordered myself a Qashqai, now the search begins for the coat for my wife .
ОтветитьShelf charging , the famous nissan con, an electric drive with petrol pollution and expense, the upcoming mazda ev with the range extender wankel petrol engine looks good and it has a plug to save you money...
ОтветитьBit of an unfair comparison going on here. Just on equipment levels alone, I'd take a top-of-the-range Quashqai over a base level BMW anytime. BMW are past masters at marketing, but they don't tell you about the plastic waterpumps, thermostat housings, sump covers, etc., Poor value, but the gullible will always see the badge. I've had no problems with my 2019 Qashqai, and apart from a Lexus, the best car I've ever had.
ОтветитьAt what speed does the electric is used ? What speed does the gas fuel kicks in¿
ОтветитьJust ordered a N-connecta qashqai e power, can't stand the BMW X1 we currently have, awful car and not as posh as the Nissan and is over rated. The ride is like a wobbly jelly and crashes through pot holes
ОтветитьRebecca here gets points for mentioning access for the elderly, rather than just child access as everyone else does.
ОтветитьIt won't be a big cash cow if you need to pay so much cash. People will prefer a Chad car for that kind of money.
ОтветитьHad the Tekna one month now, best car I have ever had, on long journeys practically drives itself and the seats are super comfortable more so than the comfort seats upgrade on my X5. One thing I do miss in Winter is remote warming on frosty mornings!
Ответить40MPG? I'm not so sure whether if I can live with that or go with diesel or even LPG.
ОтветитьPass... Just buy a PROPER EV... A Tesla is only a few £k more now... 👍
ОтветитьA fuel burner in disguise!!! It goes 1 mile on EV power!
Pointless & Polluting.😠
Nissan are trying to fool the buying public. Shame on you Nissan😡
Just placed an order for the Tekna model, couldn’t quite get to the Tekna + did opt for the Dash Cam as well. I found the drive around our area perfect and smooth my back was well supported and I had no issues with it (multiple spinal injuries)
ОтветитьJust about to order my 3rd Qasqai. My first was a diesel N connector. The one I am going to replace this year is a petrol Tekkna. Over 6 years trouble free motoring with both. 100% reliable. Great cars, wish I could stretch to Tekkna again but utility bills have killed that dream 😩😩😩
ОтветитьI have no idea what the point of this car is. Runs on petrol to drive an electric motor l?
Ответить40 mpg. Is it high? Maybe, but is it high for an crossover with a 1.5l 160hp petrol engine? I don't think so! Cherry on top this one has 190hp,330nm and no gearbox
ОтветитьWith Teslas recent price reduction you can get a Model Y for around £42,000. Who is going to buy this Nissan?
ОтветитьI'm at a loss to see where the advantages or benefits lie with this car? Unlike a PHEV, you can't charge it up - at a cost of around a £1 to £1.50 - then do your daily commute on battery power alone for a couple of days or so, before popping it on charge again. It can't provide the 3 to 4p per mile running costs of a full EV, along with the convenience of home charging if you have a drive or dedicated parking. You still have to rely on fossil fuel, and regularly need to fill it with petrol. Not for me......
ОтветитьWell the mpg isn't great and the price even less so, why would I be trading nearly 50mpg and more on a longer run out of diesel Kadjar for this? Also why does every car in these reviews have to be compared to a Golf or one of its other German rivals??
ОтветитьFuel economy worse than my 1.5 dsg petrol Ateca?
ОтветитьLooks like an overpriced waste of time. I had a diesel Qashqai for a while and it is nowhere near as good as my Kia e-Niro. Having driven electric now for nearly 4 years I really don’t see the point in HEVs, PHEVs and even this ‘series hybrid’ design...they all have one of those old fashioned internal combustion engines with their hundreds of moving parts needing an oil change and prone to failure...
I mean why would you want all that complication..!? And the inconvenience of having to find one of those filling stations, pull off the road, pump that toxic, smelly liquid into the car, then go pay €100 or more for the privilege...I plug my car in at home, wake up in the morning and it’s ready to go. A 20% to 80% charge gives me a week’s worth of driving. Just had the 75,000 km service yesterday,...€71 as opposed to €150 and up for the hybrid version which of course needs oil, filter etc. It’s a shame Nissan didn’t follow up on the Leaf, they should be leading in the only market that matters now, battery electric vehicles.
I have the Tekna+ and its been back in the dealers 3 times.... the wing mirrors have a mind of their own.... the PRO PILOT had a fault and the steering wheel had to be replaced.... the Auto Rear Brakes decided to activate while driving through the town, so rear brakes discs, calipers and pads needed to be replaced... only 6 months old and cost 50k.... WOW thanks @Nissan..
ОтветитьJust don't get this car. Stupid propulsion method. Stupid price. Rubbish handling. My wife drives a Qashqai but this will be her last by the looks of it.
ОтветитьI’ve had mine for a few months now. Really enjoying it. For my 40 minute drive to work where I can’t get above 50mph due to traffic and speed restrictions I average between 60-65 mpg. On longer journeys travelling on motorways I’ll average about 45mpg. I’ve been impressed with it though.
ОтветитьWe have this very same colour scheme on ours, the black pan roof finishes the look off. Ours is the N-Connecta model, so no heated things or the part faux leather. On a recent 600 miles round trip of mixed roads we got 48 mpg.
ОтветитьRidiculous price , seriously we’re do they get these prices from. I bet you with this future car it won’t be up there with the corsa as a best seller.
Ответитьnot sure where the commented 40 MPG in the comments is coming from. I've had one in Tekna spec for a couple of months now and am averaging 64MPG, I changed from the Peugeot 2008 and have halved the fuel cost per month for the same milage. for me this is the best of both worlds, runs in EV, but no need to plug in.
