The Story & Ending of Melody of Memory Explained

I’d really love a game that takes place in the year that Kairi is asleep.
Maybe similar to BBS where you have a few different stories, namely Riku, BBS trio, and Mickey? who knows, could be cool

I think theres still a solid arguement for the star being Strelitzia, especially with the one searching for her being "physically changed" and beyond recognition, and especially that bit about how if they were to remember, they would come looking for her in an instant, which is exactly what a certain character from the mobile game's goal was right before they lost their memory.

I find it interesting to see fictional characters talking about another reality thinking it is fictional. After all, we ourselves call our own reality the "real world", so why wouldn't fictional characters do the same with theirs?
I imagined a scene where Sora, after being sent to this other reality, sees things in stores, like movies, games or other merch, about characters or worlds that he has already seen, like Hercules, Frozen, Tron, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc... And which in this reality are considered as fictitious works. It would be an interesting turn of events I think and quite a shock for Sora.

what if we were in disney universe and now sora and riku are in square enix universe, where we will find final fantasy worlds and all

Is it ever explained how Ansem the wise returns? The last time we see him he either gets blown up in kh2 or is talking to Aqua in the realm of darkness.

Hopefully we get less Disney.

The one thing I question, which I’m sure we’ll get an answer to, is if Quadratum and the idea of a fictional world (or words) is contained within the universe of Kingdom Hearts or if it’s some neighboring universe and the universe of KH and Quadratum are just able to interact with each other.

Think of it like two separate galaxies that are merging. Is that what’s going on here but with two universes? Or maybe it’s pataphysical. Like when you read a book you know that the only things intended are what’s on the page, but what happens in that fictional world that’s not on the page? What are there doing in between the lines? Is that Quadratum?

one thing i hope from kingdom hearts is the key blade war. in general just to be able to use the keyblade armor like in birth by sleep and being able to play in the world of the ancient keyblade masters in their world

I always figured the star was Sterlitzia and she was talking about Lauriam (marluxia). But i also havent play Melodies yet so yeaaa...

Its 2022, a few weeks ater the announcement of KH4, and the girl in that star (and the 3rd key) is Strelitzia. And we finally get a look at Quadratum.

I guess Xehanort was worried about the child killing Darth Vader on that other side..

Convoluted story stuff that is still very comprehensible if you just put your mind to it and play by the game’s rules and logic, is why I love this series. It’s so convoluted and ridiculous, all say. No, it just gets very abstract at times.

I've gained a newfound appreciation for Kingdom Hearts III.
What was once a disappointing end of a long development hell tunnel now feels like a game with an awful main scenario, but redeemed by the many loose ends it ties together and how it makes a new story work and retrofit it into the entire series.
Though, I will say this; if the next Kingdom Hearts game is as badly paced as KH3 was, then I'm done with the series...

So, is there any chance that star could be Strelitzia? And the person she's referring to that has had their appearance changed actually be the PC from Union Cross aka Xehanort?

Summary: Kairi went into her memories and “discovered” that world between light and darkness existed, a “fictional world” as told by Ansem the Wise.

While Riku was searching for Sora, he had a vision where he saw a city with many skyscrapers. With the knowledge of both Riku and Kairi, the two of them and the godmother travel to the final world.

Here the find a star/spirit that was connected to Sora. She tells them of a city that she knew that fits the description.

Riku learns of this and decides to go on his own.

Kinda think it was a missed opportunity to call the unreal, imaginary, or fictional "fantasy worlds"

I’m just thankful for kh graphics improvement year after year and kh3 graphics was so great its almost as close to reality which is amazing…this game is my all time favorite game love how each version of the game is different in a sense from the others and has its own twist but the the same time the story through out the game is connected witch is interesting that why I love this game I hope they end this game im just waiting patiently for kh4 or whatever comes in between

I feel this game was an amazing opportunity to show kairi as a more competent fighter, having sora replace her to beat xehanort was very disappointing

But Sora is in Twewy and Twewy characters already appeared in DDD
