Top 20 Unexpected Plot Twists That Redeemed Bad Movies

I'm surprised that READY OR NOT didn't make the list... Maybe because it's not that bad of movie... but the twist at the end is amazing!

Why am I the only one who thinks the first Underworld fits perfectly into a list like this? It really is an over-stylized crappy vampires/werewolves/guns flick. The whole movie you're conditioned to root for Selene and her mentor Viktor while just the sight of Lucian makes your skin crawl. You cheer when Viktor finally rises to kick some Lycan butt. Then the twist happens. You learn that Viktor is actually a xenophobe that murdered his own daughter for falling in love with Lucian and was the one that turned Selene to begin with. In one short scene the viewer's entire allegiance flips to the other side. Lucian turns from a slimy antagonist to a sympathetic and noble character. This otherwise crappy move really made me appreciate what a brilliant actor Michael Sheen is.

Ender’s Game fucked me so hard

In Smokin Aces, wasn’t Spirazzo actually an FBI agent who had surgery to go undercover and gather evidence but ‘went native’. The reason they need Aces was to be a donor to keep Spirazzo alive so they could get him to spill his secrets

The Lottery with Dan Cortes. The story drags and the acting is not great. However the twist at the end is worth watching it.

I actually enjoyed Life. The twist at the end was the icing on the cake.

I saw Malignant the first time when it was called The Dark Half. Also, Orphan was a great movie. No idea why it was on this list.

Life is just two hours of supposedly highly intelligent people (astronauts on the ISS for christ's sake) making the dumbest decisions possible just so xenomorph wannabe Calvin can win in the end. The plot decided the end early on and demanded everything and everyone fall in line, logic and reason be damned. They had given up on any and all pretense long before that, to the point where they don't even try to give any hint the plan was going wrong; they just wanted the "shock value" of the big reveal. To me, the ending made it all even worse; I know I rolled my eyes when I saw Calvin's pod land on earth and I may have even audibly groaned.

The book of Eli, orphan, and Enders game were good movies

Smokin' Aces is not a bad movie.

Most are true I guess, but Life is a great movie. I imho think Repo Man too.
It might vary for taste, but for fans I dont think Saw 3D (beside the title) is a fun movie and so is FD5
on the other hand, Dont worry Darling and Malignent are still no redeemed. Their "twist" makes them actually worse. But I think everyone here knows that. ;) imho thinking same about Orphan

The fact that you describe FALLEN as a bad film gets you an instant downvote. That film is great, well written and all the actors are awesome.

I'm surprised that Book of Eli is on this list as a bad movie. I very much enjoyed it. And every one I know who has seen it also enjoyed it. It's not a perfect film but expecting perfection from any movie is crazy.

I loved many of these with the latest being Malignant

U suck mojo some of these movies don’t deserve to be in this list, some of the movie lists were k but they weren’t bad movies I’ve seen worse movies then the ones that were considered “bad”

And as an added bonus, #17 sounds like a feminist delusion, like Handmaiden's Tale.

I have never even heard of most of these movies, but all of them look/sound like shit, except Book of Eli.

Casualties of War never makes the lists. It should, in my opinion.

Orphan is even scarier when you find out that it’s based on a true story where a 30 something year old woman poses as a child and causes havoc and abuse to the family. I’ve never actually seen the movie but the true crime story is super disturbing and unreal.

Fallen is one of the best movies in my opinion... Surprised it was on this list...
