Hey, you didn't mention the noise generated by the electric pump pushing the cool water around the matress cover. Previously i used an ooler, but the noise was so loud my wife would get the shits turn the device off halfway through a hot summer night.

How does 8 sleep go with this?

I wonder how it works in the 97% humidity i have or if the cold would just pull water out of their and make the sheets wet like a cold beer on on a humid day. I basically live in a cloud in asia at 2000meters

A subscription fee just to run it at its most basic features is insane. Absolute dealbreaker.

So get the cover, and if you like it, you can invest in the mattress at a later date?

I'm writing this at 3am as the pod woke me up yet again and support has been repeatedly unhelpful and/or incompetent. The fact that they require you to pay a fee to use the most vital features of their app (even after spending $2,500+ for their product) is unconscionable. So basically if you want to adjust the temperature (you always will have to), you'll need to open your phone, fail face ID multiple times in the dark, unlock your phone with your passcode, and manually change the temperature (if you're lucky enough for the app to function correctly). Seems misleading that they want you to use your phone in the middle of the night, while advocating for "better sleep." They won't ever allow you to manually adjust the bed because they are desperate for your sleep data and the quality of your actual sleep is of no concern.

The only way that is financially beneficial, is if you get it for free. That is a ridiculous price, and they don't even got the single ones, so you basically have to have a double bed to use that. And it's also most likely engineered to last the least possible time before it breaks down and you have to buy a new one.

Basically a $2,300 water bed cover with an app... Go purchase a waterbed... old school but they run a few hundred dollars. Or get yourself a vented and heated bed... once again much cheaper solution and works just as well.

Really have no clue about the product as it never was used. Have a friend who loves hers and we thought to give it a try. 2 boxes arrived, both significantly damaged. Could not contact customer service by phone or chat but 24 hrs after received email response to our request for a replacement shipment. After 10 days and several delayed responses "working on it" a second service rep said no replacement order was ever issued. At which point we cancelled the order. Now have waited 48 hours for return instructions; no response to phone, chat, email. Maybe the product is okay, but customer service so poor I cannot recommend Eight Sleep. UPDATE 10/2/23 -- It was ridiculous how difficult it was to get any sort of response from their so-called customer service but in the end our money was refunded in full so they honor their return/refund policies.

The mattress is way too soft. People with orthopedic issues in addition to being more than 120 pounds generally need at least a medium to extra firm bed.

How do you try it out before you buy it. Sounds a little uncomfortable tbh. What’s the return policy?

I wanted to buy this. But forcing people to buy a monthly subscription is ridiculous. I want to buy it, plug it in, and use it, that simple. MAKE THE SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONAL. Intentionally bricking your product and forcing your customers to pay a substantial monthly fee for a product that already costs nearly 3 thousand dollars after tax and shipping is just plain bad business practice.

I wish I could’ve recorded the mattress cover version of that I think would be incredibly beneficial super hot here in the summer beyond stupid cold in the winter, which is a winter nothing better than jumping into a warm bed and I was in the office in the summer and I actually sleep I finally sleep

How much noise does the pod make?

I have a couple questions: 1) Does each person need their own machine? 2) Does it matter what kind of duvet you use?

what about periodic cleaning!? I had a chilipad but it required a periodic cleaning step. I DO NOT NEED another chore.

How durable is it? I've got a 90+ lb dog that likes to jump up on the bed and I'm just worried that she could accidentally rip it with her claws

Are they going bust … customer service has suddenly fallen off a cliff… mine stopped working two weeks ago, no reply to emails or phone messages … was great while it worked for 3 months :-(

I have a king size bed and want this but cant seem to get any answers in regard to the capability of a solo mode that I would be able to control temp of the whole bed with one account vs just controlling one zone? Anyone know?

Can you comment on the running noise ? Do you notice it running at night / trying to sleep?

I use the Withings Sleep Analyser for sleep tracking - it's great... Although I'd love the temp changing features in this product.
