Do better for your kids
ОтветитьI grew up in the Valley, I love it there.
Ответитьlooks like they spent more on booze than anything. I bet those wolfdogs never got vet care either
ОтветитьWe're can I get a puppy from
ОтветитьThey should make a family vlog for some extra cash. I'm fairly sure it would do well... 😊
ОтветитьI grew up in the Valley. I left in 1968 and will be returning in a few years. I’m going to build a small 16’x48’ 1 bed 1 bath home. I’ll be using solar power and the property I own now has a well and water rights.
ОтветитьWhy do people like this never keep their property and living conditions cleaned up. Always in filth.
ОтветитьI've lived poor, I've lived homeless, I've lived off-grid, I know for a fact you don't have to live trashy in any of those scenarios. All those poor kids being raised to believe it is ok to trash your property up, respect the land, all the junk can be scrapped, burned and buried.. Other than that, these people have it right.
ОтветитьI bought 2 5 acre parcels right there in san luis moving in December there off-grid living gonna put container homes, solar power, well and septic. so excited
ОтветитьDo you rent out dry camping spots for the summer?
ОтветитьThey look like their from Parsons! That makes sense. It's all coming together now...
Ответить❤
ОтветитьDunno why they are trying to depict off grid living as sad and unhealthy.
Off grid living is life.
That’s the life I strive for. Simple. As god intended.
ОтветитьI lived like this for a year and a half, moving this month. Some people can do it and are truly happy. I just can't! It's hard. I'm a city girl and used to having running water from the city and electricity. And be able to take as long as showers or baths as I wanted. This life is hard especially with children. My son is 3 now and it's not a life I want for my son. The isolation is very hard. I'm used to seeing people and hanging out and going to malls restaurants go see a movie ect. Their is none of that when you live so secluded like this. Me and my family live in the mountains in Colorado. I moved out here because of my fiance and he waned to be close to his dad. I was a bit uneducated and unaware of how hard it be. I feel like a fish out of water especially for a black girly girl. It's scary at night! Bears terrify me! I did it for my fiance, but I can't do it no longer!
ОтветитьGuys please dont worry about the kids, one of them is my friend and she is perfectly fine
ОтветитьMORE FULLFILLING LIFE THAN MINE IN THE CITY I'LL TELL YOU THAT
ОтветитьI want to come visit! Is that a possibility im about to buy land I think near you all. I am willing to pay for my stay and a tour of the area if your family is willing to have me?!
ОтветитьI'll keep my opinion, of this family, to myself, especially after seeing their comments...
A problem I do have, with the video, is: The claim that 30% of people have the skills to live off the grid. Well, no f'n shizz, genius. This supposed to mean something profound?
We are ALL born without skills. So, at one time, 100% of us lacked the skills to live off grid. People learn, but mostly only what they need to. If one isn't planning on living off grid, then why bother learning the skills to do so? Besides, drop this family in the jungle, without the equipment at startup, and let's see if they have the skills. Hmm. Drop them in Iraq circa the 2000's, and let's see if they have the needed skills, whatever those may be, to survive. Hell, I didn't have the skills to go to Iraq, before the Army taught me, but I dang sure learned them.
That's what homo sapiens do. They learn. Took us from paleolithic hunter-gatherers, to a species that explores the solar system, and beyond. So, don't give me that line about how "amazing" (or whatever) you are, for being capable of living off grid. Con-f'n-gratulations, you're a human who was able to do what humans do. Learn. You can check your hubris at the door.
I wonder how many government checks go to that household
ОтветитьThier no longer thier
ОтветитьYou need a lot of cats up there there’s a lot of rodents. Off grid is hard unless your infantry.
Ответитьlegit - always wondered how ppl there live in trailers and now i know
ОтветитьIf they were Black they would've called CPS and issues all types of zoning violation tickets.
ОтветитьCan you live off grid in or around park county Colorado anybody know?
ОтветитьWhy does off grid mean filthy home 😩🤦🏾♀️ atleast clean up
ОтветитьDisabled? He looks more than capable and strong a prerequisite if you are going to live off grid, its way easier to work a corporate job and have a bolthole in the mountains to getaway but kudos to those who want to take on the neverending workload while they are young.
ОтветитьI literally can not think of any reasons to have so many wolves
ОтветитьKids deserve a better future
ОтветитьBeautiful way of life. Most kids nowadays are stuck on tablets or phones and can’t use their imagination for crap, spoiled and have zero life skills other than eating tide pods! These kiddos will grow up with a healthy respect for both land and animals! I applaud them!
ОтветитьHow is he off grid when he's getting disability payments lolll
ОтветитьThis video should be titled.......How to live a Junky Lifestyle , with NO Money ! Once it starts dropping below ZERO , how are they going to properly keep their KIDS WARM ? ALL their water related pipes are going to freeze SOLID !
ОтветитьAt least they dont have any karens calling cops
ОтветитьSpeechless. Not in a good way.
ОтветитьNowhere West of the Mississippi has more Appalachia vibes than the San Luis valley
ОтветитьThey live off government aid. That's not living off the land.
Ответитьi mean yea live off grid, but why live so messy?
ОтветитьThese folks are so far from "off grid". Drinking water from in town, checks from the government, propane, internet, town for groceries, buy chicken feed, pig feed and hay every month, wood for the stoves, gas for the generators. Quite a ways to go before they are anywhere near "off grid". And on another note - 4 to 5 adults and 6 children on a piece of land, there is no reason that infrastructure isn't in better condition and all that trash isn't dealt with. Very poor example of what it's like to be truly off grid - and no mention of attempting sustainability.
This is no condemnation of their lifestyle, let's just be honest in our terminology.
You guys are doing it! Hello from a fellow San Luis Valley neighbor!
ОтветитьDaughter appears to have a heroin addiction.
ОтветитьI’ve watched this around 200 times and love it. Made me fully want to live off grid. Just about to in May. Been a 3 year journey & the tiny house is about to be built.
ОтветитьI live out side of center
ОтветитьSpend a day or two to clean up the trash. Seriously not hard to do
ОтветитьSo sad. My heart goes out to these poor kids. If anyone thinks it's ok to struggle and not be the the best that you can be, then you have head issues and I pray to Jesus you don't ever have kids.
ОтветитьWanna sell an acre? I know the area and know the lifestyle. Am a good neighbor and can and prep for 22 years. Blessings. Let me know.
ОтветитьAwesome video! Saguache county in the SLV has no building codes and a lot of folks building off grid and trying to build sustainable communities !
ОтветитьGOD BLESS YOU ALL
ОтветитьNotice how the kids are actually doing something productive. Learning real skills.
ОтветитьName something that is classy if you’re rich and trashy if your poor. (This)
ОтветитьI got some pigs from these people
