No matter how many times I see this, it’s so gripping! The folks who had the most faith were George (because he rode Bisquit), Red and Mrs. Howard.

Nearly ten years ago, I visited Santa Anita Park, and stood on a balcony looking down at the winning post, late on a winter's night. It was silent and empty, and I was able to let my imagination roam back 74 years and more, to Seabiscuit and the others pounding down that track. It was a magical and haunting experience.

This race always make me emotional - I had money on George’s horse 😳

Two of the greatest racehorses of all time Seabiscuit and Secretariat both of them related through Fairplay Seabiscuit was the legendary Underdog of the Great Depression Secretariat was the legendary Triple Crown winner that brought the United States together during Vietnam and the Watergate scandal both horses live on in history

Adding jockey Gary Stevens was a stroke of casting genius.

This was a great movie

I don't mind admitting, but I wept at the finish of the film. A big reason is that I read Laura Hillenbrand's moving biography of the great horse. Another reason is that Seabiscuit's owner decided to hide the burial place for the champion. What a wonderful destination it would have been for millions of Americans who root for the underdog all of their lives.

Gary Stevens easing his mount to give Biscuit a pacer and send him off to victory in the Big Cap is the straight definition of friendship. "Have a nice ride, Johnny." Stings between the eyes every time.

I’ll never be able to watch this movie the same way again, because I almost died the night I watched it. From blood loss if anyone’s curious.

my mom, Gloria Vierra, grew up on a dairy in Dairy Valley (now Cerritos) where gramps had a race horse for a few years. She was in her teens and was there to see Seabiscuit's final race (set the track record) at Santa Anita Park. She and her girl friend met many of the now famous jockeys. They had access all over the various tracks.
