Amo Jeff Lynne e continuo a seguirlo, ma io ero legata affettivamente, artisticamente parlando, a Kelly, Bev, Hugh, Mel, Richard, Mick, Roy Wood e tutti i componenti dei primi tempi. Loro erano i veri ELO. Di questa nuova composizione, non so neanche i nomi. Non mi trasmettono emozioni. Per emozionarmi, devo vedere i concerti degli anni 70. Naturalmente la musica mi piace anche eseguita dai nuovi ELO, ci mancherebbe, ma i miei ELO rimangono gli altri che hanno contribuito a rendere immensa la Band di ELO con Jeff e mi dispiace che non sia stato presente Bev Bevan. L'orgoglio è una bruttissima bestia, peccato

Did the original ELO band get inducted into the Hall of Fame? If not then surely it's not right to induct the last band - Jeff Lynne apart of course!

Although the current line up is very capable I miss the earlier ,musicians and what they brought to the stage...

Hip-hop is not rock n roll! Jeff Lynne is a true genius...ELO is commonly lumped in under classic rock. That they are, definitely classic, yet so much more than just that. If you check out everything else that was going on in the 70s, you'll hear that ELO sounded like nothing else. Jeff Lynne composed and produced it all. A true genius and such a nice guy, totally unmarred by success...

Much as I loved Dhani’s induction of ELO, I can’t help wish that George had been alive to do it. Why did it take so long?

you always hear about the beatles, the stones, the who, ELO is a great song machine, in a genius sort of way. Some groups had a song or two on their albums that were good, ELO just about every song on their albums were great.

What the hell took so long???

Like always being a very visual person and an avid records buyer. I'd be drawn to great album covers and that brought me to buy music I would probably not be thinking of buying. ELO's cover made me a fan for life. Because of the music within that cover. Just fantastic songs and orchestrated beyond anything I had ever heard. How it took the HOF this long to induct them is the dumbest thing ever. Hats off to one of the greatest groups to ever form.
