Great video but Uma Thurman's shoes are Tai Chi, not Mexico 66, similar but not the same.
ОтветитьBest to describe Onitsuka Tiger is their humility and timelessness. The classic Onitsuka sneakers are always designed with simplicity and bare necessity in mind.
They fit so comfortably well and the Ortholite insoles on them are superb. Top story there.
Should make a video about how two feuding German brothers led to two of the biggest sneaker brands today, Adidas and Puma.
ОтветитьThe Aztecs were just as horrible as Cortez
You probably have more Spanish DNA than Aztec DNA
the rising sun flag of Imperial Japan at that you feature as a background design element throughout the video is viewed as the equivalent to the Nazi flag of Nazi Germany
ОтветитьGreat video bro!
ОтветитьGreat video!👍🏻
I never buy ANYTHING from Nike anymore.
Their politics and what they have endorsed are not biblical values.
Shame on them!!!
Great video. Saludos amigo.
ОтветитьPlease do more ASICS videos.
ОтветитьI never heard about ASICS until I joined the Army in 2009. And ASICS has been my go to shoe since then. But I'm still surprised most shoe stores where I live still don't know what ASICS are.
ОтветитьI just started working for this company. They talked about this in my orientation. 😊
ОтветитьThat was Bruce lee fight Not the stunt double the stunt double have the fake dirty yellow and black sneakers
ОтветитьUna mente sana en un cuerpo sano
😅

Ответить🔥🙌🏿🔥
ОтветитьYEsics2023.....
ОтветитьIn Japan, it's actually pronounced "Ah-shicks" - in a way, AH-sics. :)
ОтветитьYoooo
ОтветитьThe Japanese were not samurai. The Samurai class was abolished following the Meji restoration in the late 1800s. The imperial Army was inspired by Bushido, (The way of the warrior) but they weren't samurai.
ОтветитьDayumm. I did not know Nike and Asics history was so intertwined. Fascinating!
ОтветитьCortes made Mexico better
ОтветитьFor Asics it is business as usual in Russia. Such a shame, I really liked that brand, my last 4pairs are all Asics. But now sadly it is time to vote with my feet.
ОтветитьGreat video, you should put one about Mizuno
ОтветитьSo just a minor tweak. Kihachiro Onitsuka was not a samurai. Actually there were no samurai left by the first World War, let alone the second. They were outlawed in 1868 at the beginning of an event called the Meiji Restoration which is when the Tenno, or Emperor of Japan, decided it was time he take back complete autocratic control of God country again and remove the old lords of Japan and part of that was the removal of their chief elite fighters and military aristocrats, the samurai. So Mr. Onitsuka was actually just a normal Japanese soldier, not a samurai but the symbolism to a Westerner still works.
ОтветитьYoure wrong about the Lee stunt double wearing the Jaguas. You can plainly see in some scenes the shoes worn by the double were plain yellow trainers with black tape stuck on. Bruce NEVER wore the asics on set either.
ОтветитьBoohoo
as a guy who has parents from Mexico
I dont care about Cortez because that history has nothing to do with Mexicans today just like any bad part of super old history to any country and race. It's all irrelevant so don't get butt hurt lol
Nice video though really nice I love history LOL
Tbh Mexico66 for me was a lame looks shoes, but after I put on, my first thought was like DAYUM incredibly comfort
ОтветитьGreat video, I have much more appreciation for asics
ОтветитьCucumber octopus salad, fire.
Ответитьman...did not know NIKE founders were the distributors for ONITSUKA....it's like GAP used to being shops that sold LEVI'S jeans..
ОтветитьRaised in the rural third world non shoes enthusiast, i thought asics, by its name, just a mediocre brand. How wrong i am
ОтветитьGreat video just getting into asics finally woke up
ОтветитьI rock with Onitsuka heavy. Currently have 8 pair in rotation.
ОтветитьRESPECT TO ASICS, BLESS THE JAPANESE 🇯🇵
ОтветитьI don't think you mentioned that the stripe branding is (legend has it) supposed to look like chopsticks picking up an octopus tentacle
Ответитьfeiyue-shoes check these out.
ОтветитьVivan las Nike Cortes! Punto para la hispanidad, con el gran valiente conquistador Heran Cortez!
ОтветитьYo homie I gotta say your channel came across on the algorithm somehow and I been diggin' tf outta your content. Good nostalgia for folks of a certain age and knowledge for newer sneaker heads on what was hot. I had a pair of Asics that were dope af back in the day. Miss those shoes(and the Master P Converse from like '99)
Ответить🖤💪🏽✅
ОтветитьExcellent video… On shot.. Instant sub! My first pair of ASICS (Kayano Gel 28) that I bought yesterday, brought me here. Looking forward to more.
ОтветитьSpent £101 on a pair of their running shoes recently. The inner lining began wearing Way after using them about 10 times on a running machine. Sent pictures and receipt to asics UK but they offered a 50% discount on next purchase. Great!! Receive expensive faulty goods then they want you to buy again. Won't spend a penny of their stuff ever again..
ОтветитьI've always liked the looks of Onitsuka Tigers. But the toe box on those things are just too narrow.
ОтветитьMy first pair of Asics was actually my first pair of wrestling shoes the split second 5 and I have worn Asics ever since
ОтветитьGreat great stuff brother!! I stumbled upon this channel while looking for information about Asics and I'm glad I did. Engaging, illuminating and grounded content delivery. Cheers!
ОтветитьThank you for covering. The tiger is a low key iconic silhouette and the Gel Lyte III is the most slept on staple sneaker ever.
