The “EXPECTATIONS” are a CFB playoff! Huskers “should” win 11 games. Honestly a 8 win season WILLBE A DISAPPOINTMENT! The over under is 9 if you follow “EXPECTATIONS”! 10+ is a success….9 is a push!… 8 wins and this team fell short!! 2025 the EXPECTATIONS and “should” line up! The 2-deep doesn’t change that…..

2021 youngest roster in CFB and one of the youngest O && D lines in the BIG and probably the country!
2022 was the same…but see AD for reason #1 and NO EXPECTATIONS!!
2023 new program and no real QB…then 3 OL go down…tough to even see the should and no real “EXPECTATIONS”
2024 should win 10 and FR QB as well as early O-LINE injuries…EXPECTATIONS were 8 plus.

That's true, I never thought nebraska was any good since polinii and Suh. Frost was so bad. How do you have a team for 4 years and get worse every year and get worse at every position? It's been a long time since nebraska was on an up swing. The coaching additions this year are a good fit.

Nebraska might complete with the tops in the league, but the top teams in the big 10 are much more talented than nebraska. Nebraska has a couple of 5 star players. Penn state and Ohio have a couple of 5 stars every year.

As a 60 year old and Husker Faithful, restore my OL and DL and grow some balls for 4-5 years and I'll begin to bloviate "We're Back". There is certainly some "expectations here", based off Rhule's resume, but it's a whole new landscape and the "N" has no established track record showing true progress for respectability.

I love On3 and your content but as a nebraska fan I had to unsubscribe. Talk with Ari and see if he will actually acknowledge that you guys posted a misleading tweet. It’s disrespectful and the way he talked about his conversation with Matt Rhule, it seems like he thinks he knows 100x more than an active coach in the league. Hope you address these things again with better integrity moving forward.

I so badly miss old school football. The vicious hits. So much fun to watch. The modern game isn't the same. It just isn't. Not as violent. Not as fun. The modern game reminds me of pitch and catch. Boring. Modern blocking is a bunch of pushing and not a ram smashing. Not nearly as exciting to watch. I miss it. We'll never see a Mike Alstott again. Too bad it caused brain trauma.

First of all how can Nebraska compete in the top conference when they cancel games with Tennessee. Please stop!! Nebraska is scared to play top ranked teams in the beginning. I have been a Nebraska fan for 40 years but I am a realist all Nebraska does is pad their winning schedule. They will not play any top 10 teams. Once again they canceled against Tennessee twice.

At this point, off season hype is dead to me. The portal transfers constantly, and the consistent let downs have killed any offseason hype. Show it and win 9 games or more and I will believe.

I'm drinking the Rhule-aid again. But if NU doesn't get at least 8 wins this year, then it's below expectations. Rhule's not on the hotseat, Nebraska can't afford more coaching changes. But it'll be a great disappointment if they don't win 8 or 9 games, esp with this schedule.

Look, I realize Nebraska barely broke the 6 win mark for the first time in 8 seasons(man it pains me to write that), but I disagree with the idea that Nebraska fans expectations ever stopped being to compete with the top of the conference.

Regardless of the down years(a decade plus if you’re expectations are consistent 9 win seasons and in the hunt for the conf. Ship, and 2 decades plus if you’re still trying to match the unrealistic run of the 90’s), no blue blood program is ever going to stop having expectations of just being able to compete with the top teams of their conference.

If you’ve done it before, your expectation is that you can do it again. When a teams history is 22 top 10 seasons over a 30 year span(11 top 5) the low bar expectation is to just be able to compete at the top.

Do you have to be realistic if your team hasn’t made a bowl game in damn near a decade? Absolutely. But no way you’re new collective expectations for the program as a whole rest at the 6 win mark once it happens.
