A pot of poison ( whose 1 drop can easily even kill gods) came out of the ocean on that time lord shiva came to protect everyone and he himself drank it .. on that time many serpants , snakes and nagas helped him cause nagas are high devotees of lord shiva ... Cause of which wven many serpants and nagas died or injured of that poison...

On that time lord shiva saw their contition and their love for him ...he boon them that from now on everyone will worship them.... Which will be equivalent to lord shiva ( supreme ) himself...

I love the fact that I am open to new information all the time but never get attached to any narrative. Due to the understanding that every scripture, history book is written by man to his best knowledge, research, environment, sentimental and canal understanding.

The bible clearly states that when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, when were forced to leave the garden and never to return as well as the snake
Nowhere in the bible does it says a wind blowing away the serpent and landed specifically in India.
