This is the first time I have seen your video on your Overland travel this is the best I've ever seen with your drone beautiful mountains nice view Sharp. Feel like I'm floating in the mountains.
ОтветитьJust found your channel, loved the drone footage…..subbed and liked!
ОтветитьSo you took Ophir pass from silverton to telluride. Then silverton to other spots. So how did you get back to silverton??
ОтветитьJust got back from a week in Colorado Rockies. 1400 miles of amazing scenery through so many passes. Unfortunately I wasn’t going to risk damaging our rental Mercedes GL with anything beyond a basic dirt road. Will have to go back with something more capable. That being said, it’s great to see the Crosstrek and Rav making short work of these areas. Did you even need 4WD in the Wrangler? I’m wondering if a lifted Sprinter/Transit on decent tires would have kept up? Would it need 4WD? I don’t need a rock crawler, just something that can handle this loop. We need more friends like you guys. What a great trip!
ОтветитьI have to give kudos to the Crosstrek and Rav. I've run a lot of those trails in my XJ and Ram Rebel. The trails aren't necessarily technical, but I spent a lot of time in low range.
ОтветитьI drove the loop 40 years ago when Silverton was still a mining town and we tourists weren't very welcome. Been there a few more times.
ОтветитьDidn’t know about the Satellite with Labels overlay in Gaia, thanks for the tip!
ОтветитьThere's something incredibly liberating about the overlanding lifestyle. This video captures that feeling perfectly.
Ответитьincredible views!
ОтветитьOne of the best videos I’ve watched! Very well done!
ОтветитьI've been making notes of which roads would be 'Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition' approved (that's the factory lifted version with the turbo engine and tweaked gearing/CVT) for when I retire in several years and actually buy one of those for my adventures. If that Crosstek can make it with the non-turbo engine and the lesser aggressive gearing, then the Outback Wilderness should have no issues at all. These are some beautiful places and I'd love to see them (and take my time, once I'm able to retire and be able to linger longer).
ОтветитьBeautiful footage and editing
Ответить🤙
ОтветитьGorgeous video!
ОтветитьDid you camp in between ?
ОтветитьDid the Subaru have a lift and skid plates? Great video.
ОтветитьHeaded out there in 2 weeks with a full suspension lift 2016 Outback 3.6 and a couple well capable rigs. Just curious how the trek did overall. Im thinking we will take this exact route you guys did. Any info is greatly appreciated. Great video.
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you.
ОтветитьReally great video, I'm leaving in 3 days to go back out there but this time with an outback. What did you drop tire pressure to and what kind of radios did you use for talking and listening for traffic on the trails??? Thank you and great job !!
ОтветитьGreat video! Question- Would your trailer have made it on most of the Alpine Loop trails? Maybe exception of Corkscrew? I have similar trailer and am curious. Thanks for making all the great videos.
ОтветитьVery well done
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьGreat Video! Watch this a few times until we get back up there again. What kind of drone were you using?
ОтветитьBest over landing video i have seen
ОтветитьBeautiful incredible footage and informative. Very enjoyable and YES we subscribed. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьAmazing video. Really appreciate the high quality content as we are planning a Colorado adventure.
ОтветитьA Jeep hanging out with a Crosstrek and a RAV4. That’s pretty cool.
ОтветитьDid you ever backpack?
ОтветитьWould you be able to give me the location on that campsite at the beginning of the video. It’s amazing
ОтветитьGreat video! are most of these trials one directional? if so, how do we find out? I’m planning on bringing my tundra but would be a little big to pass other vehicles coming the other direction.
ОтветитьThank you. This calmed my nerves by letting me know what to expect. I am going at the very end of may. I wonder if there will be much snow or mud?
ОтветитьYup, my list is short but growing quickly. The Alpine Loop is now on my list
ОтветитьCan you please create a dos and dont while crossing the moderate pass? What vehicles and modifications are required? Can you guys do a video on black bear pass😅
Ответитьwhat an amazing video and cinematography. well done!
ОтветитьSubs ++
ОтветитьHi, where did u leave your trailer without fear of it getting stolen?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing ur vid. I watched it 3 times since it was posted. We will be visiting colorado this june and planning to take those pass with our subaru. Nice to see a subaru and the rav4 made those trail. ❤
ОтветитьI’ve never heard of Ofeer pass
ОтветитьInsane editing skills and also the narration kinda listening to david attenborough lol! can you specify the crosstrek mods? thanks
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. We move to Colorado a few months ago and we are looking forward to start to visit those mountains!
ОтветитьGreat video and random question haha! Where'd you get the dog harnesses?
ОтветитьDoes anyone have a gps or gpx file of the entire “Alpine Loop”? Would love to follow it, but am new to Colorado so I don’t know the way!
ОтветитьFantastic video! 👌
ОтветитьExceptional video and story telling. We have a new Subaru Outback and were wondering if the 2.5 non turbo engine would pull these steep grades. Thanks.
ОтветитьIf possible can you please let me know what sort of tires were on the Rav4 or on the Crosstrek?
ОтветитьMy husband and I just finished both your Alpine Loop videos. What a great job in every respect!! We will be heading that way at the end of June.
We have already subscribed to your channel and are looking forward to you narrating books on Audible!
Also, we got a lot of information from the questions posed and your answers. GREAT JOB!!
Fantastic video! Was a bonus to see my Tacoma at the top of Ophir.
ОтветитьEpic video - thanks for all the work putting this together. Will be there this summer 👍
ОтветитьLove the variety of vehicles in the squad!
ОтветитьGreat video! I plan on taking nearly the same route from silverton around engineer to lake city and back using cinnamon pass, I was wondering how long it takes to do that route? And maybe a breakdown of how long it took to get to engineer, then to lake city, then back again? Thank you!!
