This situation was an avoidable and sad situation. The mistake was she should not dated this guy in the first place. My prayers goes out to Clare's family. May she rest in peace. However, the justice system should have had her loser killer in jail for life before this tragedy. Her killer should have been sentence to death. I hate stalkers and stalkers need to be in jail for life because restraining orders do not stop people from stalking you. I am glad I am working in my master's degree in legal studies. I want to help everyone stop these crimes and develop better laws and policies that can stop these crimes to. Be careful and be safe out there everyone. I pray for you all to be protected from dangerous people. Everyone never date the opposite gender in workplaces.

Had a stalker in High School. My father took me to the police to report and they said nothing they can do unless he physically harms me. So him following me, blocking my drive way, shinning flashing lights in my house....didn't matter. It was soooooo stressful. I moved away for University and never went back for many years.

this scares me, my daughters dad he's threatened to kill me, even caught him stalking me, got a EPO on him only for it to get into a mutual no contact.. he came with a lawyer & tried to get it dropped.

This is why you need FATHERS around. Her father is nowhere in this documentary. A father would’ve stepped in way before this got out of hand. He would’ve been in London the day that creep started stalking her. Pick your children’s father wisely and stay with him for life, ladies.

I researched and found out Claire’s Father is suing Mrs.Bernal (Claire’s Mom).
He stated once her mother accused Claire of being "selfish" when she raised the matter of being stalked.
Because the matter was trivialised by her Ms. Bernal, Claire did not got to her father.

The father stated, “The two things that could have saved Clare's life would have been for her to leave her job and leave her flat. Neither of these actions were taken or suggested by her mother.”

I got "lucky" and my stalker of YEARS unalived himself after I was finally able to sort of get an address and was able to get a restraining order. Again

liberalism and atheism have swept Europe and the UK. So people tend to not believe in sin and evil. But, as is clearly evident here in this story, evil exists. If authorities had grasped that very simple concept, they would have done more to protect Clare and punish Pesh. Laws need to be stronger to protect women. And I hate to say it, but part of this is Clare and her family's fault for not taking Pesh's threats seriously. It's too late now. But if they had to do it all over again, would they take it seriously?

I'm terribly sorry for their loss but her family failed her in the most incredible way not once did they show up not once did they convince her to leave or come back home not once did they intervene and call the police or have her daughter confront the situation there was no real advice or any action taken on their end

I was interning at the Supreme Court of India, in a city away from my home town, where I was living as a paying guest with three other girls. I was stalked by a man and also groped from back in front of those three girls. That one incident shook me and took me days to recover. I remember going in shell and asking my parents if I could leave the internship mid way. Thankfully my parents were supportive but at the same time my three roommates mocked me for making this a big issue.

It almost seems like if you have a stalker this mentally unhinged, you might have to create a group that will help you fake your death. I have heard of people who have to move away. Also, maybe she could have shaved her head and gotten a wig to disguise herself.

What’s sad is that in the US he could go buy a gun and could have kidnapped her way before. You used to be able to buy guns at our WALMART. The news has mass shootings daily and men like Pech have access to weapons and NO CCTV.
