People are asking “Is this his last episode?” but I have my doubts. He said ‘20 years and counting’, which makes it seem more like a celebration of 20 years of AVGN rather than a goodbye.

Guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. But at the least, he's grown more appreciative of what Castlevania can do.

I have played many Castlevania games and watched the online series. I'm an OG gamer but I feel, upon unpopular demand, Symphony of the night was the most fun. Having options of creating a familiar and ranking in your own way. Sure, it's different than the 8 bit days, which I also enjoyed. But, IMO the best one with a lot of reply value

It's interesting how the main reason James loves Super Castlevania IV over the others is because of the multi-directional whip...while Mike recently played through it and said the whip was one of the reasons he likes that game LESS than the others, because he feels it makes the game too easy and makes the secondary weapons feel not as useful.

Can’t believe it’s been 20 years. Thanks for all the laughs, my favorite episode is Ninja Gaiden. Especially the outtakes ;).

Super Castlevania 4 and Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse will always be the greatest.

Simon's Quest, Super, and Bloodlines are my personal favorites. Everyone else will say SotN.

Alot of the items and weapons have hidden moves in Symphony of the night. Each shield has an ability with the shield rod. Alot of swords have a hidden attack with a simple button combo. Down to forward. The sword of dawn summons 3 diffrent types of skeletons to fight for you and you can spam it really fast to have an army. It's badass. The bat and the wolf form have a hidden attack. Even the sword familiar has a hidden ability. The game has alot of secrets but they arnt all necessary to beat it. That's what makes it so fun and the best one in the series. It has so many secrets and easter eggs and endings. Alucard has a bunch of hidden moves right when you start the game.

I've been watching since I was 8 and I'm 22 now

One thing I noticed about chronicles is that its stages appear to be a merging of Castlevania 1 and 4 stages, almost as if to combine the places Simon traveled through in both games since they’re technically the same story

You know, I'd love to see you do a review of Lecarde Chronicles 2, which is a fan game, but it's got that genuine Castlevania feel. I think you'd like it.

I still like Rondo and Symphony better than Super CV4...Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (HD) is the best game in the series though!

In my opinion it's symphony of the night, but everyone is gonna have their own favourite
