Hey! Great video, I just wanted to ask, how does this compare to Lost World's Metro profile?

One thing that really stands out in this list is the music. He inserted all kinds of avant-garde dark ambient tracks from various artists in here that work so well, the result is nothing short of chilling. In fact, the soundtrack may be my favorite thing about this list.

They say Frost is like Fallout's Requiem. I kinda see it but really it's its own thing. Definitely a fun challenge. Good vid!

I find Frost excruciatingly tedious, where it interrupts the core gameplay loop of combat-exploration by making food and water such pressing demands that require a lot of your time and attention. In other words, it makes it into a real survival game, but that gets in the way of the exploration--too often in a gameworld as big as Fo4 already is. I recommend that people who don't like the sound of that turn the need rates down. I finally had enough when fighting hostile survivors made me insane, which then made me literally unable to hit the broad side of a barn with a gun, and then just how difficult it is to restore sanity if it gets too bad.

Otherwise, what they've accomplished with Frost is a fantastically atmospheric, menacing, and memorable experience, which is also to say very oppressive. I just wish the NPC's were revoiced by modern AI at this point; what is currently there is awful and takes you out of the experience.

Love the premise and the atmosphere of this. But you mentioned that the main quest has been removed. Does it still have big story quests, or is it just a sandbox with no purpose?

I loved that mod pack, but ultimately frost just gets sooooo boring. Also the darkness was just too much.

I've always had an eye on this modlist but never tried it. I also always thought the frost mod was just a winter overhaul basically. Maybe reading the page would've helped instead of just looking at the name and thinking "ah yes winter overhaul" lol. Now that I played through the main story of FO4 a while ago I might actually give this one a go.

This list is a great way to get into Frost, the more bleak visual style fits the severe tone of the setting, while vanilla looks more colorful and vibrant, I found that didn't quite match the experience Frost throws you into.

Stay frosty coming from the movie aliens I believe I find it hilarious how many things from alien movies got into video games I think it was starcraft where five-by-five that was also aliens or alien
