most of the deaths you listed on mount washington are due to small plane crashes....cog railway crashes and medical episodes...not deaths due to weather and terrain.

Devil's Path is incredibly strenuous but not dangerous. Barely any climbing and no exposure.

Most of the people who have died on Mount Washington were experienced hikers and climbers who chose to climb in dangerous conditions. Sometimes, no amount of preparedness and experience can save you. When in doubt, turn back, it's not worth your life.

I was waiting for this one - Huckleberry Mountain with 563 grizzly bears determines this to be a very unsafe hike. But given your statistics, ten deaths since 1967 (55 years) makes your argument pretty weak. Why make sensational stories about an animal that prefers to be left alone? Why always equate wild with savage?

Mt. McKinley is now officially Denali. And rescuers charge the climbers for rescue.

Pike's Peak is one of the least dangerous of the CO 14ers. It's long, but easy terrain. These lists are never accurate but that one's not even close.

Wow, this video really shed light on some of the most treacherous hiking trails in America. It's both thrilling and nerve-wracking to see these breathtaking but extremely dangerous paths. The footage and narration gave a sense of the challenges and risks involved in venturing on these trails. Kudos to the hikers who dare to conquer these trails and to the video creator for showcasing these remarkable but perilous adventures. It's a reminder that nature demands our utmost respect and that safety should always be the top priority.

The Maze isn't really a hike so much as a whole district of the park. It's probably used for overlanding and mountain biking more than hiking

May everyone find joy in their outdoor adventures. Personally, mine is at a lake cabin cooking for loved ones in Northern MN. That brings me joys and we do take shorter hikes when the bugs are down. Be safe, enjoy your passions 🌺

Hottest temp EVER in the US was 134 in Death Valley, California. Nowhere in the USA do temps routinely get to 130, as you say. Just be honest: The video stands alone as outstanding. You don’t have to lie to us to make it more interesting. — Also: It’s Denali, not Mount McKinley. McKinley never even saw that region of the world. — Neither did Admiral Rainier, Captain Vancouver’s good buddy. What a ridiculous name! That mountain should be called Tahoma.

Hiked down Bright Angle trail in July. Only did 2 miles down. The hike up is all up hill. We were prepared with plenty of water sun screen and long sleeves and hat even though it was in the 80 degree range.

I don't think classifying Mount Rainier as dangerous because it's an active volcano is warranted. It's not going to just erupt at any moment without warning. I have been on the Camp Muir trail, which is easily accessible as a hiker. From Camp Muir, it looks like the summit of the mountain is close, but as someone who has summited the mountain told me very directly, "the climb from Muir is completely different from the hike getting to Muir". If you're in good shape, you can get to Muir as a hiker in the summer. Only experienced and appropriately outfitted climbers should ever go beyond Muir.

Misinformation. The "Mist trail" in Yosemite takes you to Vernal and Nevada falls. The steps up to Vernal get wet by way of mist from the falls. When crowded and if lack of focus happens, it definitely can be dangerous. But I believe you meant the "Glacier point trail"

The White Mountains of New Hampshire do not have year-round snow on the highest summits. Many of the highest summits are bare rock and appear white from a distance.
