Great Video !! When buying vehicles out of town do license dealers such as yourself pay out of town sales tax even though you're going to sale the vehicle to a customer in your home state ?

I tracked down my old car and saw that my old vehicle was sold by the dealership at auction at a higher price than the MSRP the car was listed for. I traded in my old vehicle at 1/4th the price they made. Sort of learned the hard way how dealerships work.

I just watched a video and they said Capital One is going to stop doing floor plans. They said that people will have 90 days to get a new floor plan. How will they effect the car market? Will the new floor plan cost more?

Hey gang, I'm shopping for a '17-'18 Accord T20... Hint hint wink wink... The used market is definitely softening, but so far it's stiiiiicky.

Past 10 days have been wild:

— Capital One shut off all dealer floorplans (aka inventory lines of credit)

— USA Auto Sales shut down 39 dealerships after losing its Ally floor plan

— Wells fargo laid-off all its junior Auto loan underwriters and capped future loans

I like that you are sincere. And honest too. I have a close friend where I live who works for a franchise dealer. He is straight up about all things and is a joy to work with. He does not give me preferential treatment - he just treats all his customers the same. He will likely retire soon and he will be missed by many.

I got some information today, not sure what to make of it. I thought maybe you could have some insight. Wells Fargo started notifying customers that have auto loans with them that they “made a business decision to release liens securing personal transportation loan accounts.” Basically saying that they still owe the normal payments but the loan is now an unsecured loan and that Wells Fargo is no longer the lien holder. Why would a bank do that? Why give up your collateral before the loan is paid in full? Something fishy going on.

As of 4/27 any auto loans greater than 110% loan-to-value and 15% payment-to-income will be declined.

Thank you for the information and entertainment. I've enjoyed your videos for months. I'm not actually looking for another vehicle since we (my wife and I) have 5 cars, a motorcycle and a motor home. But being an old motorhead I like keeping up with things.

I'm in central NJ, been looking on all manner of car websites for used cars, I'm looking for something that has a hitch and a 6 cylinder engine. Using a 50 mile radius from where I am I'm finding slim pickins' brother. I can't even find really old cars, nothing, and the little bit I find is way overpriced. I'd say the car market is in a stalemate just like the housing market. Nobody is buying but nobody is selling either. Looks like most people are hanging onto what they got and just fixing it up. 🤷🏻‍♂️

From the looks of the interior in some of those cars the auctions "lot jocky's" need a hazmat suit before they get inside. :)

So when if/when you purchase these vehicles with destroyed interiors...do you pay a detailer to clean it and if so what do you normally expect to pay to make it presentable again? Considering it's coming out of your profit margin 🤔
