Ordered the leaf set for earth day and got 20% off. As a head shaver for the last 8 years, ive been using dollar shave club. Loved their razors and customer service. They just switched their razor styles to one that I don't like and won't offer the ones I've been using for years anymore. Time to move to a plastic free shave. Looking forward to using the leaf!

Just received my leaf today. Loaded 3 leaf blades and got a fantastic head shave.

Leaf razor is a cool idea but it's expensive. It will take a few hundred shaves to break even if you are using something like mach 3 and cartridge packs. That could be years depending on how often you shave. With all those moving parts there is a lot that could go wrong.
But as I said the idea is cool and if it gets enough attention we will see Chinese clones soon

The best thing to shave your head is Panasonic Arc 5 foil shaver.

If you are going to try the leaf do yourself a favor and get some astra green blades to try. That combo is so good!

I just got my LEAF razor and it is literally the most amazing razor that I have EVER used on my head and I’ve used and tried a lot not to mention the long term cost savings with only replacing the cheap blades.

Just bought a leaf razor 3 blade. Had only selected colours and one was gold and I thought of this video so I got that one. Looking forward to switching to this.
Had the safety razor for years and I'd get cut now and again and sore at times, I went off that to Gillette razor proglide and I'm guilty for the waste in plastics and like you said they don't seem to last long especially shaving face and head. Thank you for the vid.

If you’ve not tried it, the Wahl 5 Star is a phenomenal electric option for a baby-butt smooth head shave. Like anything, it does require some time to get used to. But once you do, it’ll buzz you fast and close.
And the Leaf is a beast. Just got one for Xmas and gave it a test drive today. Even with the butter knife blades that come with it, it’s amazing. Can’t wait to plop some good ones in it!

Leaf single blades are not as sharp as Harrys and Gillettes top tier blades as reported by Consumer Reports. Additionally, the Leaf takes 1 1/2 razors to make a three blade and are only good for 3-4 head shaves maximum. With proper cleaning and drying a Harrys or Fusion can last 6-8 head shaves. Secondly, the Leaf is more prone to nicks and cuts compared to a cartridge. Not to mention who wants to be breaking blades and loading the 1/2 blades every 4-5 shaves. Also, the $84 investment is absurd considering the Leaf has been out years and NO handle justifies that price. The Leaf is over-rated and the Twig is too job specific to be used frequently. If you have even a low amount of head shaving experience, you can get a great head shave with the much cheaper Head Blade or even a Gillette Mach 3. Everybody brags about their BMW and doesnt mention its shortcomings.

That twig one seems awesone. Very minimalist.

wow, and here i am shaving my head for 3 months every 3-4 days with a single mach 5 blade. You just have to rinse it well. For lube i use a few drops of conditioner. So I'm not sure why you are swapping them out every few shaves. literally, 20-30 shaves minimum from one cartridge. If you have grown out a bit too much, you need to trim first, otherwise, nothing will go through that forest. once you trimmed off the excess, essentially your airstrikes... you send in your ground troops to finish off the stragglers... aka the raw blade on skin. To keep the cartridge from giving you an infection, i dip mine into some rubbing alcohol and let stand for at least 30 seconds... done and done.

I might give the Leaf a go but I couldn’t imagine trying a DE in my head 😂😂 no fucking way with my hands I’d tear my scalp up. I’m worried about just trying the Leaf. I do like the idea of being able to give a less aggressive shave. I’m not always looking for that baby butt smooth feel with my sensitive skin. A Leaf shave with 2 or 1 blades might be the go for me 🤷‍♂️
