Lisa, I’ve been trying to get motivated to go back to cash only, instead of credit. My husband and I were practicing this early in our marriage. For the past 10 years I’ve been a literal slave to interest and debt-not my hubby. I only need to go “low spend” for a year, but I just can’t seem to get motivated. I, like everyone here agree that what balenciaga did was atrocious but I have spent my hard earned money on bags and other items that I love from them and can’t just leave them at the back of my closet. So I will prob use them bcos I got them wayyyy before but will certainly not buy anything from them in the future. I’m prob the only one here who feels this way

I did not know that that behavior was common at Hermes. I bought a bangle years ago - I just marched in and paid with cash. The sales associate was very helpful too. I had no issues. I had the same experience in a Hermes store in Naples a few months ago. It was like we were invisible. I asked a man working there, doing nothing, if he could help me and he said he would get someone. No one ever came. 😡 oh well, their loss. I went to the Chanel store and bought something there instead.

I started using my balenciaga accessories. They made a huge mistake and I have moved on. I really don’t think they were approving the child sex thing. It was poor marketing. I saw an ad in Vogue this month and decided to start using my stuff.❤

I have the nude Chanel with silver hardware. I love it. It goes with everything! We will be in Orlando in June for a cruise. We always go down a couple days before so I can go to mall. It’s one of my favorites!

Hubby bought my Birkin from an online auction at Christie’s. It’s beautiful and now he has a connection for more pre-owned handbags.

Lisa, I feel the same about Balenciaga. I have several bags that I love but just won’t carry. I don’t feel like the brand handled the scandal well. If they had come out immediately and started advocating for children I might feel differently. Any celeb I see wearing or carrying Balenciaga, I can’t lie I get a gross feeling.

Hermes takes time… I was offered my first bag this year and now the door is opened. I now own 2 Kelly bags and one Birkin. The feeling of these pieces are beyond belief! My last Chanel cost thanks 11k… I will never pay that again for Chanel after carrying the finest bags money can buy.

To me while yeah ok Hermes is for the super rich, being snotty is ridiculously rude. In fact even if I ever had the money I dont think I'd buy from them if thats their attitude.
