All this products that you white EuroAsians are devaluing is needed here in Afrika which the Rae materials is been taken from to Europe and Asia and you should know that all this laptops are still important here in Afrika.
My Advice to you white people is to stop devaluing this technologies which is mankind life very expensive for Afirikans here in the continent of Afirika.

Nice video. I always tell folks that: A) the TWO things that you enter act with on a computer are the keyboard and screen so you better TRY the keyboard and get the best screen you can afford and B) whatever you buy you have to lug around so imagine the device (and any/all accessories) in your back pack, brief case, laptop case or whatever you use to transport it BEFORE buying it.

I dearly miss my glossy display of the Asus G51-JX. There was something just better than even my current Lenovo P53 , 100% sRGB 4K matte display I am using. I wouldn't count that as a mistake.. I would take a glossy display any day to watch movies in the dark.

Some places have the laptop chained to the display table so you can’t lift it to see how light or heavy it is.m

I actually love u this video was so helpful, ive been looking for a laptop as i havent had my own working one for about a year or two, and im currently using a school borrowed laptop before i get a new one. I will be going to uni next yr (hopefully) and will b needing a laptop soon. Ive used hp laptops all my life and icl i really dont like them (tbf the ones ive used r like 12 years old LOL) and theyre also very very heavy. So im looking for a laptop thats good for computer science and light gaming, after watching this video i dont think ill be aiming for anything over rhe price of £900 (is that good? Idk) and portability will defo contribute in narrowing the list down. As well as this, i know ill need good battery (the school borrowed laptop has amazing battery life and ive realised how important that actually is), decent reso (doesnt have to be amazing), has ports so that i can plug in my mouse, a nice keyboard, will last for years, can be used in the sunlight if i go outside, 16gb ram, 256gb ssd or more idk, good cooling system and thats about it lol

In the past I had a ipad2 and as time went past would not support many websites. Looked at your videos taking in your recommendations on the iPad Air 4 you convinced me to buy one. I have no regrets, it is all you need for a portable device. Many thanks for the advice.

yup I made the mistake of buying a acer nitro 5 because I was hyped about having a RTX3060 1tb of SSD and Ryzen 7 cpu, once I got into the a.i scene for work, I suddenly needed a egpu setup just to find out the usb C it came with was NOT thunderbolt....and im like great....and compared my nitro 5 to a dell 5520 2023 12th gen I5, its 23% slower and that particular laptop has 2x thunderbolt 4's that would make my laptop very modular

NEVER buy a non-upgradable storage. One day the storage will be dead, far sooner for SSD. You don't want your expensive laptop totally dead in 5 years just because its SSD reached its TBW limit.

You didn't mentioned the 17th point:After sale service. That's what I always look for in my area because if you can't get a service or have to wait for a couple of weeks to get parts replaced, there's no point of buying from that company

Thankfully, I got a chance to try and use my dad's older model laptops thats very heavy with certain screens real estate and one that is very small and light for a few years each that when I got around to buy one for college, I avoid some of these mistakes unknowingly. Although, I'm guilty of not even trying the keyboard and track pad etc., and I also didnt do proper research for the GPU capability, not knowing my college class would require that at some point. Definitely gonna try to avoid those next time I'm buying though. Good video!

Mistake #16 Beware! My Macbook Air M1 chip has a cracked screen after just over two years despite that I was super careful with it... And I am NOT the only one this has happened to. Repairing it is ALWAYS out of warranty as this is blamed on the user, even if you have Apple Care... It costs 508 euro to repair and getting cash instead would get you only 120 euro's from Apple. So the 'good price for performance' as stated in this video does NOT consider SCREEN DURABILITY!

Apple abuses their power to the maximum, and got me deeply out of love with their predatory tactics, and hope I find a viable alternative so I never need to come back to them... I used macs (and PCs at work) and an occasional iPhone here and there (iPhone 5 and 8 had too many issues) but am now happily using a Huawei Mate 19 for over 5 years which still performs well! If Huawei has laptops with higher durability screens and good front camera and not too noisy during the use (what I like about the Apple chips) then I would hopefully buy a good one even if its pricier than Apple, but with better value for money... What do you think? Is Apple turning out worse than you had expected?

My #1 advice: Buy used. Laptops are SO cheap 2nd hand. Even Macbooks. I can get an M1 Air for 600€ in good condition, a Razer Blade 14 2021 for 1000€ etc. That's usually around 50-70% of what they cost brand new, and if you pick it up in person or buy from a site like eBay with buyers protection, then you're very unlikely to be scammed. I haven't bought a new smartphone, PC parts or a Laptop ever, and I've had no issues ever.

I spent $5200 in the best Macbook pro in 2017. Only 2 years later; The screen totally destroyed, the keyboard crap (4 keys do not work), the battery terrible and solded so more problems... then I bought a Lenovo for $1800 and 3.5 years later everything is totally perfect and i fact the keyboard is way better, I can finally use excel properly... never again I would even consider Apple
