How To Calibrate Your Flow Rate [ Ender 3 V2 ]

Got it spot on first shot. Exactly .80 on all walls. Still cant fix this dang elephants foot tho

I followed this and on a .6 tip, I'm 1.2 across the board. pretty wild. thank you for the tutorial though, I appreciate people helping others with the hobby.

so should i calibrate this for each spool types ? i.e pla and tpu ?

I think this is fundamentally wrong.
You basically try to calibrate horizontal expansion with flow rate.
Putting less material down because it spreads out too much. This Will cause problems in the rest of the print. Probably under extrude.
In most slicers you can software adjust so the printer basically takes into account how much the material spread.

Hey, I calculated my FR and it's should be 92%. Printed another testcube and the wall thickness is spot on! So far so good.
But the layers and infill are under extruded. Everywhere (including walls) through the whole print, the lines aren't touching each other. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

Is FR a compromise between wall thickness accuracy and a good extruded layer or am I missing something?

Printer I use is a E3 v2 and the slicer is Cura

One question. When you calibrate flow rate for tpu, do you adjust in slicer flow rate settings or to the machines flow rate stored in eeprom/SD?

i only have one wall, any way i could troubleshoot that? i tried your tpu profile and compared to mine it will only print the very first layer and that’s it

Actually a good idea. Drawback: Most cheap measuring tools are not accurate.

Noticed you had a corner measuring.087. Could this happen because you have the seam set to sharpest corner and it is seaming it on that same corner ? I wonder if setting it to random seam would change your measurements and get that average closer to .08. Enjoy the videos !
