Great conversation. Russia continues to lie about their economy (as well as anything else for that matter). They are spending all their money on war which has no value in the long run as the life span is minimal. Why don’t they spend their money on roads, hospitals, civilian infrastructure- in other words money for the people. Russians know that Putin and his minions have stolen their riches but do nothing about it. What a pathetic country who has stolen anything they claim to have. Only the rich in main cities do okay but of course everyone is corrupt.

Putin would be smart to start planning his escape from Russian there is no good options for him to survive.

Excellent analysis. But you've missed the minor point that Russia is taking all the productive parts and population of the Ukraine, so it's actually a good investment for them. As soon as they value the 20% of Ukraine into their GDP you will see a large jump.
