Do you think you could get near either of Elliott's times?
ОтветитьIt all depends on the level of the amateur rider. The pro definitely have the ability to shred the cheap bike, but do the amateur have the skill to utilize the fancy bike?
ОтветитьIts always about the rider
ОтветитьIs this good for someone thats 5'9 and weighs 250 Pounds
ОтветитьTo me, a $150 walmart bike is budget. There is nothing budget about that hardtail other than the fact the entire thing isn't carbon and it doesn't have a dropper post. It has hydraulic disc brakes, thru axles, good tires, a wide range 1x drivetrain, etc.
ОтветитьJust looked it up and the budget bike is over 2000$ Canadian dollars. I tried mountain biking for the first time yesterday with my fathers 20 year old walmart bike. I thought this video would have shown something similar.
ОтветитьIf that's what you'd call an amateur, then I must be a toddler.
ОтветитьThat comment about turning the rebound shaft 3-4 times before fitting the footnut should be printed in big letters on the fork!
ОтветитьI wanna see the people complaining that the scout isn’t a budget bike try to ride this trail on something less than $1500 msrp. It’s budget when you consider there’s a minimum level of usability and “true” budget bikes don’t meet that level. If you’re not ripping trails go buy a $500 hardtail and have fun. But this is about the cheapest bike that can reliably get all the way down a hard trail and back up again over and over
ОтветитьCant believe they think this hardtail is a budget bike. Snobbery at its finest
ОтветитьBudget Build? The fork cost more that my entire hard tail.
ОтветитьI knew the pro rider would win.
ОтветитьCome on. The Scout is hardly an entry level HT. Do it on a Vitus Sentier HT or a Nucleus. Those are entry level.
ОтветитьThat was a great video the amateur was amazing on a bike omg. The pro is pro for a reason great video loved it.
Ответитьdamn he has so many camera man along the track :O
ОтветитьHow about a super bike against the Costco special… a true entry level bike for $400 😂
ОтветитьAs an avid skier who dreads the lack of snow I really want to get into this sport but simply can’t afford it 😢
ОтветитьA budget bike is £500 pound or Cheaper not £2000.
Ответитьyour "CHEAP" bike is more a lot more expensive than a cheap bike that you'll find if you search for cheap/budget bike in google. what do you call a bike with recon fork and deore rd? trash bike?
ОтветитьPicked up a raleigh talus 4.0 for 100$, ramped 10ft today, carved burms, and shuffled my way though the off- trail , trail. You don't need a 2k bike to perform. Just a 500$ one with good shocks you got from an old white retired rich dude.
ОтветитьThat so called “budget” bike is literally one of my dream bike’s
And HOW!! can you call a 2000$ bike a budget bike
(Edit: I’d say a budget bike is at most 1100$)
might be budget for you guys but that is not a budget bike for most people... a budget bike is a used 26er from 2012
ОтветитьNukeproof with a pike fork is the crap bike lol's clicking away :-)
ОтветитьWish I could ride like your "Amateur" 😜
ОтветитьThis was super fun.
Ответитьif an amateur rides the same course as a pro. and makes it to the end wtihout a scratch..... is he really an amateur ??
Ответитьthat cheap bike is still unafordable in my country. for like 500 euros i can buy a full suspension pretty good bike
Ответить😎😎😎😎😎😎
ОтветитьThis is cool content and I'm going to watch it, but I want to say up front before I unpause that this sort of question is kind of overdone. Of course it's the rider, if it wasn't, there's no point in the sport. Price difference only really makes up for marginal gains here and there just like anything, that tangental line of "the best". In any case, now I'll watch but doubt I'm wrong :D
ОтветитьHardly a budget bike, put him on a Carrera from Halfords and see how he goes!!
Ответитьstill waiting to see the budget bike.
Ответитьit apears our friend eliot komt uit BRABANT jonge
ОтветитьI bet my Cube Attention won't survive this :D
ОтветитьGMBN sponsered by Nukeproof are do they just really rate their bikes?
ОтветитьThe real winner here is, of course, CLIPLESS PEDALS! Still undefeated.
ОтветитьThat’s not a cheap bike lmao
ОтветитьIdk but, my bike cost me 300$, the fork is generic and the shock too, so, i think that nukepoof scout is more than a budget bike for me 🤔 btw great video, these dudes just fly over the rocks 😜
ОтветитьThe rear tire on that hardtail 👀Michelin force Am2 "Racing line"? New prototype tire spotted from Michelin im about to order a force am2 but maybe I'll wait for the racing version😄
ОтветитьContinuity issues with the chest mount makes you realise this wasn't all one run.
ОтветитьHis budget build is not that budget. Lol🤑
ОтветитьThe better comparison would be to have the amateur rider do a timed lap on a really cheap bike then again on an expensive one. This would determine if an upgrade in bike would help the average rider improve their game.
Ответитьthis looked interesting and then turned into another unobtainable ride. have the pro ride a trek marlin or a specialized rockhopper. lame. this is just "pro rides a hardtail instead of a full suspension"
Ответитьvery humble he is. he pointed out was his weakness and strenth in which his opponents forte. bery humble sir! you will be a great racer for sure.
ОтветитьThe cheap not so cheap bike
ОтветитьWhat is that gore coat called that GMBN commonly use??
ОтветитьShould've done it on a Schwinn Axum or something. That's a real budget bike. Who's goin to pay 1800 dollars for a first "budget" mtb bike.
ОтветитьEh... I wouldn't precisely call that a "cheap bike"...
ОтветитьYou call that a cheap bike?? I think i will quit mountain biking now. This is the reason bike parts keeps getting more expensive. You’re brainwashing people.🤦
ОтветитьBeautiful Wales
Ответитьthats a budget bike? holy, in my country thats like a celebrity bike
Ответить
