I know four people who think Ali won that fight. Ali, Dundee, Larry Merchant and me. The fight was scored on a win lose round basis. The point system was only supplemental in case the rounds were tied. So Frazier doesn't get extra points for rounds 11 and 15. Starting round 15 , Lancaster says there's something wrong with Frazier's face.

The amount of left hooks Ali ate that night and to only go down once and pop right back up is completely unreal.

omg Frazier face, this man was indeed a crazy.
90 punches on that face and head can put any man on floor, but not someone who wanted to kill Ali at any cost.

Ali won. A knock down gives you the round and maybe some weight going forward but Ali punched Frazier so many more times through the fight it ain't funny.
didn't

Ali lost 3 years of his prime years. He was known for not taking punches but landing before losing his license. Everyone was wondering “How is his chin?” Well they found out that Muhammad Ali had the best chin and heart in boxing history.

The punishment he took is inconceivable, yet, NOBODY ever knocked him out. Even when he was clearly sick with Parkinson and way past his prime.

He was knocked down only 4 times in his career, but he won all 3 of 4 fights except the one with Frazier we just watched, and including the next two with Frazier. The man is and always will be The Greatest Of All Times.

If Ali had more stamina and well improved body against punches Joe frazier would lose this fight. This video manifest that despite Ali wasn't same man after banishment he was still fast but due to lack of stamina lead his lost somehow.

This video does a good job of proving that Ali's "slip" in the 11th round should have been scored a knockdown.

The referee, Mercante, screwed up.

Frazier is my all time favorite boxer! His gazelle hook was a savage, legendary punch. It was utterly terrifying, and no one has perfectly mimicked it since. There is no “next joe Frazier” because no one could move and hit like him.

If Ali never stopped his dancing, never been overconfident with taking less training time and never underestimated his opponents, and lastly if the sickness hadn't got him,,
believe me No one on this planet, no matter how long he kept playing boxing, could take him down. He was the strongest, fastest, smartest and very well shaped boxer in history. What a Man!

Joe Frazier is one of the most underrated (YEAH… I said it) heavyweight fighters of all time. I know he is held in extremely high regard by historians and the inner circle of fans and pundits, but imo he is a top 5 all-time HW, and might be top 3.

You have to measure a fighter against his contemporaries, and Frazier lost to TWO fighters only: George Foreman (twice) and Ali (also twice).

Frazier didn't hate ali in the beginning. To start frazier lent ali money ,he also testified in Congress to get ali's license back . It was only when ali turned on joe that joe began to hate ali so joe didn't believe that ali was a bad man. He was the only person to help ali when he had refused to fight in Vietnam.

Stick to martial arts because you told a lie about Frazier condemning Ali for not entering the draft. Frazier supported Ali’s decision not to enter the draft. Frazier even said if baptists weren’t allowed to enter the draft then he would’ve refused as well. Further more Frazier even gave Ali money during his exile and spoke on Ali’s behalf to get his license back, he even went to Nixon who was the president at the time. It was Ali who turned on Frazier once he was able to fight again. That’s why Frazier had such a distain for Ali.

Frazier was the first who condemn Ali for no going the war? And refuse to call Ali by his changed name? Why many people think that only Ali was the initiator of hate between them?

Ali’s chin was better in the 70s than it was in the 60s. He was dropped by a comparable bum in Henry Cooper in the 60s who had a quarter of the power Frazier and Foreman had. However, in the 70s, he took everything both Frazier and Foreman gave him and still stood tall. This is proof of the better chin Ali had compared to his younger self, his Boxing IQ was arguably way better as well!
