Thanks bro
ОтветитьGreat video as always! I know this is abit off topic, but is there any chance we might see a you doing a brazillian jiu jitsu sparring video. I've always wondered how rolling would look like when a martial artist (primarily wing chun based) applies the hand fighting concepts used in the system.
ОтветитьFew use the elbow uppercut; it's their loss.
ОтветитьAlways a good lesson here love this channel
ОтветитьElbows in wing chun are the best type of elbows
ОтветитьMy elbows hurt
ОтветитьNew sub big fan brutha keep up awesome job
ОтветитьYeah, I need to practice doing elbows!!
ОтветитьExcellent vid !!!
ОтветитьLots of Bil jee in mma ;). Thx for great videos. I am a wc bjj and boxing practitioner and you help me teach people self defense ☯️
ОтветитьNow this. This is practical.
ОтветитьGreat video as always.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьYou have great videos and content like this one just some things would take years of proper training to develop and I feel like your giving some people false hope ie blocking a haymaker they should duck it and counter but you are a master and respects to you thankyou for you’re time and your videos
ОтветитьThanks, that was really inspiring and informative.
ОтветитьAll facts.
ОтветитьCan't tell you how many mutha fuckas I've cut open with elbows..!!
Ответитьplease you could make videos with subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese
ОтветитьI agree that training the heavy bag is the best way to do elbows. I think it's useful to always imagine the heavy bag as a person when doing this; mainly because training elbows on a live person without using mitts is almost never allowed in most training halls and dojos. This is actually one of the reasons I don't "spar" very often, mainly because of the rules in place which keep me from using all the tools available to me in any given circumstance. Muscle memory is crucial, and I believe that if you spar too often with rules in place, you'll have removed those tools from your belt should you ever have to use them on the street.
ОтветитьFor newer students, I recommend going easy at first. If your elbow strikes aren't sharp, or deflect a lot in impact - and your heavy bag is an unforgiving material - you will end up with bloody elbows.
ОтветитьGod, that one forehead blood burst was stomach wrenching
Ответитьim a short guy so my best chance of winning is getting close thats why i love elbows
ОтветитьTotally agree. Elbows can do more damage than any other strike if used correctly. The more use of elbows the more it chances of winning. Great video there.
ОтветитьYessss! Finally the recognition of devastating elbow strikes!! And I think the heavy bag is a great way of testing ALL strikes. Sometimes I find that I think a strike is powerful shadow boxing and then I hit the heavy bag and...nothing! Can't even move it. Great advice!!
ОтветитьAre knees underutilized or can be used more effectively in the lower body similar to elbows are used in upper body fighting?
ОтветитьYou can use elbows in a similar manner as punches you have spear elbow like the cross, or the horizontal elbow like the hook you just need good footwork to make up for the short reach.
ОтветитьWe have 7 different elbow strikes we practice in a set drill, and I am sure there are more uses depending on the situation / position. Good video!
ОтветитьI'm not qualified to speak about this, but I've been looking at the Drunken Wooden Dummy Form (that uses the wing chun wooden dummy) and it's applications from Drunken Kung Fu (Lady He Xian Ku - Sifu Neil Ripski has a video showing it as well as a few others) - there are elbows, back fists, hammer fists, knees, leg trips, arm breaks, hook kicks and leg trips, and tai chi like take downs as well as movements that appear from Chi sao from wing chun as well.. A lot of the attacks are side on rather than I suppose the idea of attacking from your centre-line using a wing chun method. I'm aware of a 'drunken wing chun' system - don't know much about it. It's all in the application I suppose. Anyway.
ОтветитьUsing elbow to counter punches is also great, you can break a boxer's hand like Master Wong shows it very often.
ОтветитьElbow maccaronni
ОтветитьAs always awesome advice and ideas
ОтветитьLove elbow strikes. As you said – an underestimated technique. Keep smiling :)
Ответить@FightSCIENCE I want to learn wing chun and all that comes with it but I live in NYC. Are there any places you recomend? Please and thank you I am a big fan of what you and Master Wung teach and upload. Thank you.
Ответитьno footage of Mike Perry's elbow ko on ellenberger? that was probably the best mma elbow this year
ОтветитьElbows aren't used in MMA much because they cut and consequently fights can get stopped early.
ОтветитьNasty!!
Ответитьas a TKD guy I have always said that elbows and knees are way under rated...we have them in forms, but not in fights
ОтветитьPlease make a video related to Japanese Jujutsu
ОтветитьElbows are amazing tool, it's just that it's hard to spar with elbows. That's why it's underutilized.
ОтветитьI practice tai Hui which is nicknamed 6-elbows and I really appreciate your take on this wonderful weapon
ОтветитьGod damn elbows are some scary shit haha. Just feel the bone on your elbow and you know how powerful they are
Ответитьthrowin 'bows
ОтветитьWell in Muay Thai elbows are more usted than mma and it's devastating.
ОтветитьWell done...for the person just interested in Self Defense, this needs to be in the Forefront of their thinking. If you are taken by surprise, you may not be able to slap or poke a quick punch in defense...
But 'Slip an Elbow' in there?...This could turn you being caught unprepared, into a quick advantage or escape.
If elbows had a theme song, it would be the background music you just used lol. Great video brother.
