One question sir would it be better to use a VST compressor or just go ahead and get a hardware compressor?
ОтветитьLong time no see. Hope u doing fine. Happy new year. 🌠
ОтветитьThe compressor is like your mother:
Threshold - The level she asks you to turn down the music.
Ratio - How much you turn down the volume after she shouts at you.
Attack - How fast you react.
Release - How fast you turn the volume back up after she leaves.
Happy New Year. 👍😉😁
You re great man❤️
ОтветитьGreat way of explaining compression 👍
ОтветитьI like the way you explain things. I am beginning to understand music production because of you. Please continue I am always following your tutorials. Thanks once again
ОтветитьBeen waiting for a simple explanation on ratio and threshold.....dude you helped me soo much in that little time...TOTALLY thankful for you!
ОтветитьNow to go about this eq process too! Do you do any reviews on your followers mixes!? That would be dope and I'd send immediately!
ОтветитьWhat is MPE support? Is it not possible to get MPE support in FL studio?? If the MPE support is not available, then how to achieve it?
ОтветитьBro thanks a lot for all your videos. You are awesome!
ОтветитьDan, I'm new to your channel, but I really like how you break down the concepts.
Thanks again, a new subscriber from Canada.
Heyy man ❤️
Your all videos regarding fl studio is just awesome. I learnt many things from those videos.
Can you plss make a video for beginners on how to record guitar & vocals for cover songs and then how to edit both, to sounds great!
Can you make a video on recording hardware via the midi out plugin? I’m struggling on how to have a nice flow and getting alot of error messages about the ports
ОтветитьCompression is very cool. It's also lossy and dangerous because as you compress, you lose dynamic range and gain noise floor; both unwanted. Although sometimes the loss of dynamic range is intended especially in something like a sportscaster's voice which can go from murmuring about something to freaking out screaming.
The dialog compression appraisal I do is this. If riding levels will take too much time, resort to normalization. If normalization doesn't do an adequate job, resort to compression only as much as necessary and try to keep the reverb and noise floor as low as possible. You can always add reverb (not ideal but usually not a terrible option) but it's much much much more difficult to take it away.
I just subscribed man your a f'n wizard. I could not for the life of me figure this shit out and I think i got it.
