Humane slaughter, no such thing. Always amazed at what a great speaker Joey is, been following him for years. Unfortunately there will always be cruel nasty people who abuse people and animals. Your amazing, heart of gold.

Everyone is concerned about animals being hurt and killed until you bring up the ones they are eating. Don't kid yourself, if you eat animal flesh or their secretions then you aren't "against animal cruelty;" you are a paying customer of it.

There's also the word "cull" whenever there's a breakout of disease. Which is essentially heating up the animals until they slowly die in agony in heat stress. This is Very cruel indeed as they suffer for up to an hour or more

I'm glad you didn't use euphemisms in your activism because the movement needed someone like you to break the stereotype of apologist vegans and show them that the animal rights message is more important than it was once perceived.

Joey is a nice man. I'd be glad to say hi to him if I saw him publicly.

Do no harm to sentient beings...uñiversal law.

This interview brought tears to my eyes it's an unfortunate route to end up with but I think all of the trauma in his life made him much more understanding of the trauma that the animals go through so if you're privileged you're likely going to be less understanding of it but that doesn't rule you out just makes it a tougher challenge

Joey, you are 100% in the right for using language that accurately describes what is happening to the animals.

Part of awakening to the reality of what is happening to these animals is changing the language we use to describe products created from their bodies. The words that are used to describe these "products" have the intention to eradicate the guilt from the acts committed to these animal. It is not meat, it is a rotting corpse stolen from a vulnerable creature packaged in a way to create sales. It is not milk, it is a young female who was r@ped, her child stolen, and her body exploited for her ability to create breast milk. It is not an egg, it is a period of a female who is in constant labor equivalent to giving birth every 29 hours. It is not honey, it is the only food that the bees have - food that they collected then vomited back up into storage so that they can eat exactly the amount that they need.

They are not nutrient dense foods. They are second hand plant nutrients being eaten out of the body of a tortured & enslaved animal.

Language has power. Using proper descriptive words enhance the clarity of the world around us. Keep it up.

This interview sure didn't last long but the bit that got through was pure gold. Thanks for the inspiration Joey.

I think you do a fantastic job and really try for the farmed animals ,I don't agree with people who go spilling milk in supermarkets to me that causes more suffering as people will just go to another shop .

I really liked your view on the future of veganism. Definitely a probable version of the world.

I've listened to many of your interviews (to the point where I'm a bit bored with the retelling of all the gang stuff again haha) and this was easily one of the best ever. The latter part of this about watching graphic footage, how the vegan message has been diluted to death (I'm damn tired of cupcake "vegans" too) and what a progression towards a vegan centric world would look like were great.

You talking about people trying to use your past against you and how some of the vegan activists were not happy with you reminded me of that AV video where Paul and Asal said something to the effect of "How can you trust an ex-con to be an accountant?". It's the worst form of ad hominem. What does recovery look like in the eyes of those people? Would they just kill or permanently lock up everyone who goes against the law, because what else is the solution to them stigmatizing someone for life?

Joey’s direct, no-nonsense approach is the ONLY way to get results. A namby-pamby vegan is NOT A VEGAN. Being vegan isn’t just about what you eat. It’s ALL about being passionate about the rights of animals and expressing that in whatever way feels right. Sabotaging hunts, crusading for the Cause outside (or better still inside) shops selling the body parts of animals. The world needs to WAKE UP, and soon. There’s no time to sugar-coat the Truth.
