Thanks a bunch, I was updating my 7 to 10 and my SSD crashed :( Luckily I had a backup in my desk drawer from an older build! Problem was I couldn't remember the password,lol. I used your tutorial and got right in, however...I can't rename sethc back to original, it still sas sethc7. When I try it says "You require permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this file". Any idea how to fix that? Thanks again for allowing me past my brain fart and getting me back in, hehe.

I have a windows 7 Ultimate Aspire one that I haven't opened in a few years. Last night it went through the repair cycle. Now I'm back to the login screen and it sent me to the Password Reset Wizard which stated that I must have first created a password reset disk. That I don't have. What should I do now?

When I get to where I need to copy cmd and paste at the bottom, mine says there is not enough space on local disk, you need an additional 252 kb to copy these files. Can you offer me a solution to this problem, please?

First, old Gateway computer- root drive was D:\ instead of C:\. All worked until the end- the command prompt window opens after 5 x Shift- but does not show a prompt- so if any key is hit, this window will close. Do I need to do something different on an earlier step so it finds the D:\Windows\System32 path instead? Thanks UPDATE: redid the sethc file, and this time the command prompt opened at the System32 folder- success!

Doesn’t work with windows enterprise. After I reset passwords. It makes select “CRT ALT DEL to login” then wants me to physically type username & password. I attempt to type out username and password and it says “no login servers available to log on.
Any help with this?
