Just got these today after my right joycon stopped working, they would be perfect if they had vibration and a bit more weight to them

Nintendo is doing something real sneaky with their use of accelerometer. They have us believe their accelerometer is built into the control but to my findings this is not true. You can test this with Breath of the Wild. Go to settings and then enable VR. When you enable VR the motion controls suddenly work. You can move the Switch around and you can see everything move with you. I'm not sure why but I i think Nintendo is disabling it on controllers.

I love the compacts a lot I have the red ones ! Joycons are okay the joysticks I just hate how they feel and you need so many accessories to improve it

No motion control means I can't use it in shooters.

I'll stick to my modded pair of Joycons with a d-pad and the grip I use with my switch.

I just picked up a used switch that came with the exact set featured in the video. I havent played at all yet, but just holding these vs the regular joycons the hori pads feel infinitely better. They actually still feel a tiny bit too small for my hands but it's a happy middle ground between the bulky pros and the unusably small joycons.

Does it charge on the switch. I threw a way my pro because it never charged and kept losing connection while playing smash. Anyone have these issue on these

All that, and you didn't even touch on the d-pad whatsoever; not even mentioning if it's even the same damn d-pad as the previous model. Big fail on your part considering that was the reason why I even checked this video out. Waste of time review.

Has anyone tried this compared to the skull and co grips? I am going to buy either the skull and co or this. I am not fussed about the rumble or amiibo but i do quite like using motion control in some games.

Can the split pad fot be carried in a normal sized carry case for the switch? The case that I have fits the switch with the regular joycons with little room left over. I want to know if ill be able to fit the switch with the split pad fit controllers in thay same case. I hope my question makes sense.

Is the accelerometer gyro? Was thinking of picking these up for playing tears of the kingdom in handheld without the shittiness of the joycons analogue sticks.

So long as it has gyro that's fine with me as I don't like rumble and don't mind switching joycons specifically for amibo if need be..

Thanks

I don't think nintendo allows other companies to have amiibo and accelerometer in their controls

No motion controls is a deal breaker. These would have been a dream for playing splatoon if they featured it, but alas, hori hates us…

What does it make any sense at all is Nintendo doesn't let them use all the features cuz they're scared the outsell their joy-con so why the f*** don't Nintendo do that if they know that it's better then why do they keep giving us this b***** I don't understand it they would make so much more money to put out that horny pad with every feature in it everyone would go out and buy it that has a switch but they just sit there and they're like no let him suffer with this b***** drift small cramped hand because we oriental people have small hands and dicks sorry if it's racist but that's the only logic I can see cuz they have small hands and they hate big hand big dick people

Would the split pad pro compact fit the switch while your switch has a hard/protective casing on it?

I suspect Nintendo won't licence them if they include those features because it would take away sales from their first party joycons
