I disagree with the dont take a job to earn, you can take a job to earn and also learn. I feel like business owners say this to justify not paying people what their work is worth.

Respect your work Alex but I massively disagree with point 7. Eating take out is not saving you money and it's certainly not improving your productivity. As the food you consume has a HUGE impact on your health especially brain function and energy levels. Eating take out 2 times a week is not only going to cost you financially it is going to cost your health too. The amount of processed oils, chemicals and preservatives in take out food is beyond comprehension and will lead to massive inflammation, brain fog, energy issues and more. Which is not helping your business or finances at all. And that's not including how expensive that is to do. $20 a day on take out is a massive waste of money in my opinion. It's not hard as another commenter has said here to meal prep and cook healthy meals in bulk. It will save you money and ensure your health is kept strong. Nothing is more important or powerful than good health. Eating take out is not going to help your finances or your health. That's the truth.

Solid video but I do not agree with number 7 personally, I’ve been cooking my own meals for years and eating healthy clean beneficiary foods is hugely important to me so knowing what is in the food I eat is worth the extra little bit of time it takes to cook it plus I love to cook it’s a huge passion of mine not to mention 95% of takeout food you buy during the day is unhealthy to some degree and imo health is wealth and eating clean and healthy consistently is gonna make you feel more fueled up and ready to go for your day. Many people underestimate the power food has on your body, you eat trash food you’ll feel like trash.

Most "education" these days, whether its formal school or not, is not worth the price tags it comes with.

Most "non traditional" learning is not rigorous enough to help prepare for the real world, and most "rigorous" education is overly complicated and the professors rant about useless things.

I have always been frugal (not because i knew the word frugal) but because I was poor most of my life. Im currently at an ok paying job that i can save money faster but with no goals in mind. Number 10, I've started a hobby that is really expensive and financially stupid but i don't care because its changed my mindset, habbits and outlook on life that im investing a lot of money into a hobby i plan to make a career out of. Im currently in a learning phase and I recently went to an expensive event (because i had money saved) and there were moments I cant describe how they've become some of the most motivational things ive ever had in my life to go big.

I make barely over 15 an hour. I pay someone 15 dollars an hour to meal prep for me every week. she cooks healthy meals and makes snack bags. i also have her do my laundry, put it away, clean my entire apartment, make my bed. i spend $50 a week on this and it's so worth it. i posted an ad on a local facebook group and had over 100 responses with interested people and just chose one i trusted. she's a mom and enjoys it to have a break from her young child.

Big disagree with the eating out every day. I only spend $120 / MONTH to buy all the nutritious groceries I need (chicken, fish, broccoli, etc.). $600 / month after eating out every day is fucking insane.

#7 is an interesting one. I think it really depends on how much you work. If you're doing 50-65 hours a week takeout can be helpful especially if income is hourly but the hard part is making it healthy enough.
Thanks for the video.

I was hoping he would say this with the takeout thing. Cooking costs me time. Food costs right now, Groceries could be $100 a week, takeout is $1-200 a week, with these becoming near even lately, and with takeout potentially being better nutrition if I can game it right

Ответить
@tubesism
@tubesism - 30.10.2023 17:00

#7 is just wrong for most people imo. You don’t actually save time getting take out. You feel like you do because you’re not “doing” anything, but yes you are you gotta drive over there and back, gotta wait for your order, lines can add time. If you meal prep and divide the time cooking takes by the number of meals made it’s the same or less time. You can also buy things that are quicker to cook like frozen/processed foods if you’re going to eat out anyway because $10 a meal for takeout is going to be shitty food unless you literally only eat chipotle. Also the price math is way off lmao it’s not $100/month vs $150. Meals I make myself for lunch/dinner cost like $3-5 a meal vs $12. It’s literally over double to eat out!

First thing i do is allocate towards emergency fund, then bills, then savings for investments in the near future. I portion a very small amount of my income towards spending. Since im pretty minimalistic, i dont really need that much. The most expensive thing i bought for myself was a fancy new electric razor.

7: meal prep, lots of money wasted on taxes when you eat out

I'm going to disagree with you Alex with point 7. Groceries tend to be way more healthier than takeout. Some people waste their health to make money but later on in their life spend money to get their health back.

Ответить
@DocRoc94
@DocRoc94 - 27.10.2023 05:46

Hard disagree with eating out. Several time investments going out for food throughout the week instead of one at the grocery store. Cooking only takes about as much time as going out to grab food if you know what you’re doing. Spend more money to eat out and the food you’re putting in your body is sub par.

Talk about investing in yourself then tell people to shovel garbage into their mouths.

Save money, Eat healthy, cook at home, feel better and be more productive.

Getting takeout instead of wasting the 2 hours to prep a meal for a couple days is an IQ a lot of you will fail. It's not about "grind the meal back" you are essentially shorting your nutrition and long term health. Alex says "people above you will look down on those that don't get it". People who think saving an hour each day getting cheap shit salty food for a meal are actually the ones on the bottom of this relationship. People who look 35 at 50 might have less money than someone like this guy, but they're gonna make it to 90 and feel good while this schmuck gets a chronic illness at 50 cuz he went to chipotle instead of just making the burrito bowl himself.

Eating out only works if you can allocate that time to a side hustle. Most people arnt making 100$+ a day from a side hustle so this is just a extreme waste of money. You can make 70$ stretch 2 weeks with meal preps. That’s saving alot of money on food lmao
