I always have to laugh with how Korean MMO's always seem to incorporate and base their combat and overall systems on western historical technologies and social systems yet just basically slap on the over-the-top cosmetics of eastern games. Like seeing them have traditionally imperialistic western naval combat with some elven looking girl in a mini skirt with a velvet red and clearly useless armor waving around her hand directing absolutely no one just made me laugh. Like what was the point of even having that character aside from having an attractive looking girl to look at? lmfao. That combined with the flashy graphics and animations which are admittedly impressive, until you realize there's a single dude operating each of the cannons as if they're just a browning m2 .50cal side mounted on the ship easily operable by a single person lmao. Along with guys using bows and arrows to fire at the other ships, despite obviously having the technology to use muskets at the very least lol. Since by the time heavy artillery was being mounted on ships in this fashion to be used as a "Ship of the line" they had plenty of muskets as primary armaments to be using over bows and arrows lmao. Not to mention a bow and arrow is exceedingly clunky to use on a ship like this, since you can only ever fire it on deck, unlike through portholes with a firearm. Then everyone of the guys actually on the ship being in what appears to be some kind of plate armor surrounded by firearms(which are literally created for penetrating said armor) that made said armor obsolete in the first place, as well as likely being incredibly cumbersome for any sailor having to operate a cannon or just outright man a ship of this nature, if not impossible. Then all of a sudden the "Captain" calls for everyone to abandon ship despite the ship still being in a somewhat savable state lmao, if the explosions were large enough to warrant an abandon ship being called then it would have to be an explosion of a powder store or something, yet if that occurred he wouldn't even have enough time to call for it lol. The ship wasn't even sinking or anything yet from what was shown, so they were clearly just deck fires at most, which are easily extinguished comparatively to a fire below deck in any kind of store as well not actually damaging the integrity of the ships ability to float. Just made it look comical when everyone abandoned a perfectly functional ship that most navies historically speaking would probably just board an enemy ship in that state and salvage it if they saw everyone just abandon ship for some reason LOL. Not meaning to be nitpicky, but incorporating this kind of western naval combat into your game shouldn't be just for aesthetic appeal since there's a pretty large player base that actively seeks out this style of naval combat in games, and we'd definitely prefer it to be true to form to a certain extent. Not just surface level of "cannons go boom" for the sake of looking cool despite them clearly not having any actual limitations or cooldowns between firing lmfao. Meaning they may as well just have an m777 howitzer mounted on the side of the ship with how reliable and accurate these cannons are. There's a reason they were fired in volleys and in such huge numbers, a ship bobbing around in the ocean creates an overwhelmingly poor firing platform for an already somewhat inaccurate cannon.

Fresh starts are still fun. They have one coming September 15th. I literally don’t care what they’ve ruined…..the beginning of every fresh start has been stupid fun for the first 3-6 months. It’s why every fresh start is packed……but then bad decisions ruin it 🤣🤣🤣

it's time people realize MMO developers never learn. They just don't care and will ruin their game, just to make short term money so they don't have to to manage it.

I miss the Archeage days I cant believe its been 10 years already since this was released. This was the best MMORPG ever made. I hope they do it right on its reboot for Archeage 2. Everything feels so good. The Kraken raid, the Red Dragon raid, Ghost ships, and rifts. I had to book my days off at work to help my guild trying to kill/contest for hours and hours.

very ugly graphic. AION graphic much better. why aion cryengine is older but better? cuz archeage ugly game totally. Watch the ugly shadows... squared textures... omg . and this boring color filter. like a watching through yellow glasses. and very low saturation. Plus silent NPC's, only animate NPC mouth without voices... WTF? and soundtrack...

Unfortunatelly too many dailies to get upgrade items for gear progression, with a relentless and cruel RNG system which can make you fail 2 months of upgrade mats grinding those dailies making all that time spent in vain. Korean MMO, it never changes. It looks beautifull, but it is hollow on inside.

The times when planting illegally in the mountains and wait for a miracle to struck just to get 1 material to create your ship. That was a fun time.

The best MMORPG in existence, if only had a proper publisher!
