I live in Montreal and our winters are similar as this one, as for today (January 9th 2024). But here, the snow will change in rain in a few hours, so at the end, it will be a little bit better than other cities at North of the province of Quebec. For us, it's normal to receive a lot of snow, although it's not as it used to be in the seventhies, for example. It's hard to drive in those conditions, but it's beautiful though!

The worse part is that that "storm" isn't even that bad. I would qualify it as mild winter weather. I have seen way worse in my days.

I was fortunate that I came Canada in summer, I belong to India and all time quite sunny whether we have here.Can't imagine day without sun. (diff people diff likes). Thinking to come here in winter to see how canadians spent their winters.

50 years ago, the Netherlands also had these winters with lots of snow and low temperatures. 25 years ago that was only half and in the present there is no snow at all. Only rain, wet snow, lots of wind and temperatures above zero. Climate in Europe is changing drastically. The seasons are shifting. Temperatures in the summer run at or over 40 degrees and in the winter it is even 10 degrees above zero.
