But a couple of points. There can't be a private expedition to a South Pole nor can you "colonize" it, that it strictly governed by a group of countries.

Between John Carpenter's The Thing and At The Mountains of Madness, I think I'll avoid the south pole.

This story was fascinating how it guides your thoughts to think that it was going to be some kind of evil spirit, but pause your thoughts in the middle, you had no idea of the ending.

I'm a devote Catholic and 23 years ago I got a Staff Infection that was killing me and I had to go into emergency surgery and the doctor told me I only had a 10% chance of surviving if that much, I spoke with my best friend and also my wife right before and I asked for a Priest but one was not available, in a damn Catholic hospital a Priest was not available ? They sent me a Baptist Minister. He gave me so much comfort I was prepared for what I assumed was guaranteed, my end. Well I'm still here, I lost the majority use of my left hand where the infection started. I'm still Catholic but I have a more open mind now.
