Thanks for your video. This has helped me to understand more. Many people say you need at least more than 1000 LUX for house plants and its very hard to produce thousands of LUX unless the plant is literally right up at the grow light or window and energy costs on supplemental lighting for darker areas isn't cheap so we can't always run the most powerful lights, compromises have to be met. I've been growing plants in less than 180 LUX. Golden Pothos is good because that stuff still grows in 30 LUX but will lose its variegation & still grows and looks ok but of course its always better to give it more light. The other thing is that having too much intensity can make some plants grow to big too fast and outgrow there spaces which can be an issue if they are not plants you can prune to keep at a desired size. Sometimes slower growth is good as long as its healthy.
ОтветитьI like how you say the pupil as pull pull
ОтветитьWhat is 50 foot candle in lux 😊
ОтветитьVery informative ... I like your method...
ОтветитьMy Peace Lily for the last 2 years is placed in a corner of our hallway which gets filtered in-direct sunlight through a translucent glass pane by the side of our main entrance door, it keeps growing 1 to 2 new leaves every month by just watering and if I fertilise, it flowers as well. Downloaded the app and checked the intensity of light at this location, it came to only 8 FC max on a clear full sun mid day.
ОтветитьCould u please tell me how much light dracena need of light ?
ОтветитьThis is super helpful without having to be too technical that gives me nose bleeds 😅 thank you so much for simplifying this topic
ОтветитьThis was exactly the info I was looking for! Thank you, now I need to buy grow lights for new shelving in an open concept livingroom that I didn't think I would need. Happy Thanksgiving from a new subscriber up near Collingwood, Ontario.
ОтветитьI'm just starting to keep a log of light levels throughout the day on a similar app. And what I've found so far is, if I trust it, my plants are as good as dead. But it doesn't explain why my maranta is pushing out 6 leaves, or the new leaves on the Hindu rope, pothos, cast iron, and scindapsus, snake plant pups, and the blooming orchid. But I'm willing to give it time, especially since this will be the first winter for most of my plants.
ОтветитьThis was extremely helpful! Thank you! Love your videos 😊
Ответить"IS IT BRIGHT ENOUGH?!" 😆💚
ОтветитьNice knowledge!!
