If I have changed the driver-side caliper, can I just bleed that wheel or do I need to do the go-around and bleed each? thanks
Ответитьnice video : just a suggestion: next time use a turkey baster to suck some old bad brake fluid from the master cylinder and fill the bottle, rather than using new brake fluid in the bottle. RATHER put the new fluid in the master cylinder till the top of the master cylinder ,,, you will cut down on time to drain the old brake fluid through your brake lines... Any comments?
ОтветитьI thought the whole reason two people were needed was for one person to pump and then hold the brakes down while you loosen bleeder screws. Now I think I’ll give up. I repaired a line but bleeder screws are seized… was going to try and use a product and tap the caliper but now i’m just confused… also am seeing there is also master cylinder bleeders.
ОтветитьBut doesn't the air suck back into the cylinder when releasing the brakes? Since you open the tip that will give an acces for air? I changed my shoebrake cylinder on 2007 ford ranger, used the suction pumps, but I keep getting bubbles coming out. And the brakes feel very sponge. I remember using this on Toyota yaris and it worked flawless using Teflon. But ford ranger sucks. I keep getting bubbles
ОтветитьBeen doing this for years but could'nt get a good brake pedal to save my life.
Made a pressure bleeder problem solved.
If anyone is wondering, he put the brake fluid in the bottle ahead of time so that air doesn't go back up the line and into the caliper. I was only here so I can see if it's possible to bleed the brakes myself on a 2012 Tahoe LTZ. 👍
ОтветитьI have a question, can the clean brake fluid that is collected in the bleed bottle be added to the brake fluid tank to fill it? Would the exposure to air make it unusable?
ОтветитьYou guys have been very helpful in your videos and website! Thank you!
ОтветитьAfter you top off the fluid. Do you close the top/cap of the reservoir or do you leave it open when pumping the brake to get the fluid out.
Ответить😊
ОтветитьExcellent video and company! Best wishes for success always!
ОтветитьI do them myself with a small shop vac. takes 5 mins
ОтветитьIs that 3/16 I.D. or 3/16 O.D.?
ОтветитьThat looks absolutely simple.
I have NEVER done car brakes, but I have recently had to do the front brakes on my trike, and the brakes are tere, but awful. I hadto unsieze the caliper and replace the pads too, so it was a sfull overhaul, and I have completely renewed the fluid and cleared out the line.
But I could not get it any better than what it is, and thats awful.
I was told that I needed to lock the nut, press the brake in and then unlock it and open the brakes, but is that right?
All you did, was pump the brakes and it all worked??
Don’t forget to mention on newer vehicles you may need to disable the electronic brakes.
ОтветитьI have to do this tomorrow...and bleed mine starting from the back
ОтветитьYou just keep goin out and checking the clear tube for big bubbles don’t worry about tiny ones if there’s ALOT try bleeding it some more until there’s barely to none 👍🏼
ОтветитьNot best practice for amateurs. Inexpensive pressurized system is the best 1 man procedure.
ОтветитьWhat happens if the catch container is sitting on the ground below the bleeder?
ОтветитьAmazing!
ОтветитьI'm definitely going to give this a try. I've always done it the two person method.
ОтветитьVery goid
ОтветитьHi, could you help me? I changed the brake fluid, the master cylinder... it's not leaking. I let the air out. And it's still the same. The pedal goes all the way down.
Ответитьmay be a silly question. but if im replacing my brake pads and want to flush the old fluid out and put new fluid in, do i bleed them before or after the pad replacement or does it even matter
Ответитьso you can not reuse the fluid that u have on the soda bottle?
ОтветитьIf just flushing, I'd suction old fluid out of MC resevoir.
ОтветитьGreat video, my bleeder screw was bigger than 3/16th
ОтветитьSo do you leave car running while stepping on brake pedal or no? I’ve seen videos of others leaving their car on so I’m unsure.
ОтветитьGreat information! Appreciate the video. Short and to the point!
ОтветитьEngine has to be running or off?
Ответитьthe zip tie trick amazing
ОтветитьHow can that tube be 3 /16ths internal diameter. Did he mean 3 /8ths ?
ОтветитьAlways use the box wrench on the bleeder screw
ОтветитьVery useful.
Thank you brother ❤
Great video. I changed my brake pad myself but the brakes were not working very after and I didn't know what I did wrong. I found this video and realized I needed to bleed the brake lines. It took me just 30 minutes from start to finish and the car stops on a dime now. Thanks!!
ОтветитьA1 auto you guys and 👧 gal's are the Bees knees 👍
ОтветитьNice simple explanation. But I'm guessing you empty the pop bottle and put fresh after each tire?
ОтветитьThanks! I've used this method many times and it works great!
ОтветитьExplains the right wheel sequence to start. Thank you for confirming that only video ive seen to do so. 👍
ОтветитьI'm a 72 year old. Had me brakes done at a shop. The brake pedal was really soft. I would have taken it back but I was already at home. With your help everything is absolutely perfect. I'm buying parts I need from you in the future. Thank you so very much. I know that some guys may consider this video posting a waste of time, but I as well as others really appreciate it😊
ОтветитьI filled my bottle with too much brake fluid and made a huge mess of it. But my brakes were bled lol
ОтветитьTo be accurate you should apply grease to the bleeder screw thread to prevent air sucking back in..
ОтветитьGreat video...good idea to syphon out old fluid from master if its dirty. put clean. then begin with the steps here in this excellent video.
ОтветитьYou made that seem a lot easier than I expected. That doesn’t seem bad. Especially if I don’t have to remove the tires
ОтветитьSo you dont have to do the constant tightening and loosening?
ОтветитьI can get solid fluid at my two front calipers, but not my rear ones. I seems like it is never pumping enough to the rear.
ОтветитьIf someone sees this, please help, I cannot get a grip on my bleeder screw because of other bolts surrounding it. One is attached to a thick black wire thing but it's not a bendy wire, it's very stiff. Can I remove these bolts to safely access the bleeder screw?
