Omnislash V5: Waits a bit to start slashing, but the finishing move is immediate.

after the DLC was all set and done, I think they really did well by us Square Enix fans. As a FF7 fan, i was a little annoyed by the treatment it had at lunch, one of the small annoyances was Cloud's fusion sword, I really wanted there to be some sort of reference as to how he can segment it in different pieces which is a quality he heavily uses in the movie which originated it. (this final smash update accomplished this need well enough).

I've been waiting for Omnislash version 5 to be a playable limit break for Cloud since Advent children, dissida half assed it but Smash did it the proper way and it is glorious to watch plus so satsfying when I connect it to an oppennt.

I find it interesting that everyone just ignored the fact that cloud pretty just stole Ike's great eather. At least the version 5 of ominislash is different enough but still

I’m going with Omnislash Ver. 5 because it looks cool and the Advent Children Cloud looks awesome.

I like the Younger Cloud’s final smash better.

They should update daisy's final smash like they did with cloud's, change her dance and music to fit her tomboyish nature. (no costume change needed).

Omnislash version 5 was always more badass imho but then I always preferred Cloud in Advent Children Complete to his original version despite how nostalgic the original is for myself and so many people. (Even though they just borrowed from Dissidia for Smash Bros which isn't a bad thing. And, yes, the Sephiroth reveal trailer alluding to ACC was awesome!)

The second variation starts attacking later and has more damage per hit, this may impact the game if another player jumps up into the final smash when someone’s already got caught in it.

Came here from accidentally doing it about 2 minutes after the new update and got excited cause I thought I could've been the first to do it.

I was wrong...

It seems to me that the two different versions of Omnislash also reflect the weapon Cloud is using for that appearance. In his original FF VII appearance, Cloud makes many strikes with his one Buster Sword. But in his Advent Children attire, Cloud’s new Fusion Sword splits apart, with the different pieces making their own strikes before coming back all together, and making one last big strike with the recombined Fusion Sword.

I chose costume 2 and fought sephiroth on spiral mountain but got the original animation. Is the new animation also map dependant?
