I used to imitate Ewing on my driveway. Shaq was a better athlete than any center I've ever seen but Ewing had more basketball ability.
ОтветитьI was trying to know which player had scored the most points was it Ewing with 32 points but how many did Shaq have?
ОтветитьEwing had game
Ответить90’s NBA was different, the whole vibe of it was just better then todays Game,
ОтветитьEwing vs olajuwon better
ОтветитьThe battles between Pat, O'Neal, David Robinson and Olajuwon where just memorable. It was pure post work games, not a three point contest such as nowadays. I miss those times.
ОтветитьIt’s just interesting to see how much more physical the game was back then…. Them boys played hard defense - especially in the paint..
ОтветитьThis was 1 of the few , if not Only time Ewing got the best of Shaq!
ОтветитьThe problem with shaq was he can only score when he was under the basket and that's all he was good for unlike other centers that score almost anywhere in the paint
ОтветитьJust watching these highlights got me an adrenaline rush.. can’t imagine being on the court
ОтветитьSuch GOOD BASKETBALL!
ОтветитьI really miss those Sunday afternoon NBA on NBC games :(
ОтветитьDamn he was a beast. He’d flourish today with that midrange he had
ОтветитьI get the NBA changed but I miss this style of basketball. Physical defense, hard picks, post up offense and a silky smooth mid range game.
ОтветитьI was born in 98 but man this basketball is the best skill competition, heart man not the three point contest we have now I love the mid range post up when guys were really going at each others necks to win. Back then it’s just different this makes me miss the 2000s and trickles into the 90s I wish I was born eariler to see this live
Ответить90's Knicks were a tough customer i don't care who they played. Crazy they didn't win anything, but then again Hakeem and Mike were around at the time
ОтветитьEwing was better...as an athlete and all around.
ОтветитьAmazing Game 🔥🔥🔥
Still watching 💪💪💪 June 14, 2023
The game was boring as hell back then. Sheesh
ОтветитьThis makes me wanna hop on 2k rn and play as og knicks
ОтветитьPatrick Ewings middy jumper is deadly
ОтветитьIf Jordan didn’t play in his era, Ewing would have 2 to 3 rings.
Ответитьi miss Ewing so much my fav center of all times
ОтветитьMan that turnaround jumper of Ewings is a thing of beauty.
ОтветитьBack when the best players from each team guarded each other
Ответить❤Great 90s BALL no fake pussys
ОтветитьPatrick Ewing will always be my favorite NBA player. No one even comes close.
ОтветитьWhat I didn't like about O'Neal at that time was his disrespect towards veteran opponents. Fortunately, over time, he grew up and, as the video title says, Ewing took O'Neal to school.
ОтветитьEwing turn around is friggin sweet. It's just sweet
ОтветитьGood to see Ewing's mid range jumpers frankly I forgot about that part of his game. Shaq was just so strong he didn't have to do that... or felt like he didn't.
ОтветитьWhen players were perfecting their post moves and mid-range jumpers, the game was more fun to watch. The precision of Ewing's jumpers and his post game was just a beauty to watch.
Ответитьcompare this to the crap NBA turned into
ОтветитьPost god ewing
ОтветитьAnother video with proof Shaq wasn't always the most dominant center. Oh he was in his prime. But then guys like Olajuwon Barkley Rodman and sometimes as you see Ewing had his number. It wasn't till these guys retired/got old did Shaq become the most dominant center. But who wouldn't if you're him playing against centers like Dampier, Brad Miller, Dalembert,, Divac, Croshere, Camby, Curry, Chandler or Dwight Howard or Jermaine o Neal. Who while some was decent centers, not in the same class as Olajuwon, Robinson, Mourning Ewing or even Mutombo.
ОтветитьGodzila vs King Kong fight
ОтветитьThat jumper was gorgeous.
ОтветитьIf you have no idea why Patrick Ewing's nickname was the warrior, just look at his battles with Shaquille O'Neal, Hakeem, and Kevin McHale. Then you'll have an excellent idea. One of the few players in the 1990s that had the upper body and leg strength, as well as the game, to go one-on-one with Shaq and make Shaq work at both ends of the court.
ОтветитьShaq is bald but kept the side burns
ОтветитьShaq was a beast in the paint. Ewing was a beast outside the paint. Amazing talent. Different styles. The NBA was great 80’s-2002.
Ответитьwhy was only season mvp awared to shaquille o'neal why did no season mvp's get awarded to patrick ewing why did the finals mvp get awarded three times to magic johnson and two times to kareem abdul-jabbar and just imagine if the warriors and hawks never traded wilt chamberlain and bill russell
ОтветитьShaq knew how great Ewing was nd saw how easy we forgot respect Lebron the goat 🐐
Ответить….and Hakeem schooled them all !
ОтветитьOakley shouldn’t dribble
ОтветитьWilt went to the finals in five of his last six years. MJ went six of his last 8 what will lebron do?? Gotta Go out like a goat
ОтветитьFor a center Ewing's midrange jumper was nice.
ОтветитьPeople tend to forget that the average center scores less than 15pts 90% of the time. It's a very rare occurrence when your center is one of your leading scorers. It's actually quite phenomenal even in this era where the center position was fundamental to a great team
