If anything the Tour was already dead after Schleck’s chain incident on the Port de Balès cos we all expected Contador to be in yellow by this point and he was happy to ride defensively. Had Schleck still been in yellow this stage would have been the greatest summit finish ever.

Nice to see that so many captains were isolated that early (around 10 km to ride). The way sky/ineos drives is boring af. Maybe someday we will see captains with one or two riders on their side driving into the last climb. I honestly don't want to see these team time trials up the road anymore.

It's a shame that Andy got that injury and retired. He could have smoked Froome and Quintana atleast a few times (I think)
